FINALLY . . . This might the be the last word on a Kansas City publishing gambit that was equal parts publicity stunt, branding exercise and desperation.
Check the description . . .
The Kansas City Star president and editor Mike Fannin and The 19th editor-at-large Errin Haines join Zerlina Maxwell to discuss the Kansas City Star's public apology over past racist coverage and the racial reckoning within American newsrooms.
You decide . . .
I think I liked this interview the most because there was some skepticism of the paper's apology.
ReplyDeleteEnough with this guy. They're totally overestimating the star's influence. The paper is no longer relevant.
ReplyDeleteI think he is doing the right thing, & I don't understand why you're calling this a White Guilt Apology Tour. White people are guilty. They should apologize. In fact, they should pay reparations to the Blacks & the Natives.
ReplyDeleteWhite Privilege is a real thing, & this is how it came about. If you want to end it, then don't make fun of white people who are trying to make amends!
We will never have peace within our own borders until all accounts are settled.
Fuck off you fucking cuck. We had no fucking control over our melanin quotient, let alone our social class upbringing.
DeleteI had no fucking control over Jim Crow laws and the s-word.
Why are you fucking coons so adamant about reparations when Native Americans had a much shittier deal?
Do you see Asians crying about their great-grandparents working the railroads?
Do you see Mexicans boo-hooing about being cooks and farm hands?
Shut the fuck up and this is merely a desperate ploy by capitalizing on the zeitgeist to gain readership for their dwindling subscribers.
Eat shit you goddamn fucking race baiter. Divide and conquering faggot.
10:51. You are so right. The accounts won't be settled until the Black's stop acting like animals. And remember...Blacks are outnumbered by almost 10 to 1.

ReplyDeleteMike Fannin reminds me of a former Nazi concentration camp guard who waits to confess his sins until he's on his deathbed, surrounded by those who finally tracked him down.
McClatchy went bankrupt, the Star sold off it's assets, forcibly fired/retired most of it's staff, will cease print publication, and only now reflects upon it's sins!!!
^^^
DeleteNAILED IT.
Last time I checked without white men you shades of black and brown would all still be digging holes with sticks to shit in like your ancestors had for thousands of years.
ReplyDeleteThis is the Star's jumping the shark time. They will be gone in a year.
ReplyDeleteIt seems that way to me too.
DeleteBlacks need to apologize for the out of control murders. Black Guilt is REAL!!
ReplyDeleteOutside of sports and criminality blacks can't compete with Europeans, no matter how much globohomos try to pander and prop them up.
ReplyDeleteThe Star should apologize for being such a crappy paper for all these years. Not only did they ignore the news in the black community, they also ignored the news in most white areas, unless you lived where the "beautiful people" lived from the Plaza South to about 75th Street in Missouri. I don't think they ever knew there was a Johnson County or anybody living north of the river until about 1995. Only Jewell Ball debutantes and Philharmonic artsy fartsy ladies got their pictures taken. Their business editor wandered around downtown looking like a homeless bum. They had a "take it or leave it, we're the only game in town" attitude with advertisers. They owe lots of apologies, and as grandma used to say "What goes around comes around".
ReplyDeleteKarma
ReplyDeleteThere's been over a trillion dollars paid out in entitlements since LBJ kicked off the Great Society programs ~55 years ago, and black society is still a train wreck. No matter what is given, it won't be enough.
ReplyDeleteSend them the fuck back to Africa!
ReplyDeleteThe Star should also apologize for extreme left-wing bias. They're just pathetic shills for the Democratic Party.
ReplyDeleteThe Star should apologize for its existence and drain on mankind.
ReplyDeleteOne of the black women said, "Accountability is the first step." As far as criminal behavior in the black community, talk about hypocrisy in that statement.
ReplyDeleteNo matter his spiritual leanings, Mikey needs to take his media road show to the nearest Catholic church for confession with the priest and have that filmed to be used later as more cheap pandering on social media.
ReplyDeleteIf you do the crime your ass had better be ready to do the time!
ReplyDeleteErnest Hemingway, who once worked at the Star, is rolling in his grave.
ReplyDeleteMikey needs to donate what's left of this lame newspaper to The Call in KCK. Then he could sleep at night and get rid of the "white guilt" ulcer this has caused him.
ReplyDeleteMikey looks like he took acting lessons from Justin Bieber before the interview so he could use facial expressions and tone of voice to show deep regret and compassion. Instead, it just comes off as looking like he's fighting a bad case of constipation.
ReplyDelete@7:33 Try 20 TRILLION dollars. That's enough reparations for any group of scum suckers.
ReplyDeleteHey Kansas City Red Star,
ReplyDeleteDo you see Irish and Italian Americans whining for reparations because their forefathers died building America's railroads, canals, dams and bridges.
Do you see Irish, Italian, and Polish Americans whining for reparations because their forefathers were employed as child-labor in dangerous factories that maimed them.
Do you see Polish, Hispanic, and Asian Americans whining for reparations as the result of their forefathers working in unsafe packing plants losing arms, fingers and feet.
Do you see Japanese Americans whining for reparations due to their imprisonment in American concentration camps during WWII.
Do you see Chinese Americans whining for reparations for their forefathers dying by the hundreds building America's western railroads.
Do you see Hispanic Americans whining for reparations as they work their asses off each and every day to make a better life for their children.
Since the Civil War which was 155 years ago (10 generations ago for African Americans) all of the above was incurred while African Americans basically sat on their collective asses accepting welfare checks.
Will Mike Fanin and the Kansas City Red Star apologize for all of the above?
No because Fanin is a cuck; thinking by acting like a cuck he is an academic elite when he is nothing more than a bitch.
^^ 350,000 WHITE Union soldiers died and hundreds of thousands more maimed fighting in the Civil War to free African Americans. These Union soldiers were primarily of Irish and Italian descent.
ReplyDeleteWill the Kansas City Red Star apologize for their deaths?
10:51 Alpenisista - there will be peace within our borders when the dust finally settles.
ReplyDeleteMargret Mitchell who's family was from the Kansas City Metro penned Gone With The Wind after the story of Order No. 11. Atlanta was a more epic place to tell the story.
ReplyDelete^^So?
ReplyDeleteEnough with this revision of history history is in race baiter this just want to start a race war he's just another conqueror in the media circle who hates America and hates what America stands for and its history
ReplyDeleteI see what you're saying but you need to take your time when you type. Reread before hitting send.
DeleteI don't like Fannin either but there are a lot of professionals who work at the star who care about the written word and would like to defend it and escape the horrible managament.
