Kansas City Star Apology Rejected

A sketchy publicity stunt and white guilt crusade for "restorative justice" was received warmly by mainstream newsies and cable news talk shows.

Closer to home . . . The racial drama was completely ignored by nearly all local broadcast media and failed to garner much enthusiasm in urban neighborhoods or among those who didn't benefit from dead-tree coverage.

And so, this reality check about the apology is somewhat welcomed if only because it contradicts newspaper journalists straining their arms in order to pat themselves on the back.

Check-it . . .

Not All Black Residents Are Accepting The Kansas City Star Apology

The paper's president explained what brought about the six-part series detailing its reporting and representation of the Black communities in Kansas City. Some are applauding the effort, some are saying The Star needs to make amends and others are questioning the newspaper's motive.

  2. Well shit! Who do they have to blow to sell that rag?

  3. Anyone remember Arron Gant? He was in the paper, TV all over the news in the 1980's. Career criminal and company. Murdered everyone who he disliked. Police too years to finally corner him. He was a superfly, huge Caddy and chrome Rolls Royce type grill on it. Blacks should be mad at HIM. Not the KC Star. He single handedly tained the image of every black person living in Kansas City. Nobody even really knows how many people he really killed. Makes Bob Berdella look "kind".

  5. ^^^^ Great recall! I remember Aaron. If you followed the news through the years his kin followed in his shoes. Well, like most other thug families.

  6. the Star should apologize to Whites for having such a shitty uber-lib Democrat rag of a paper..

  7. I'm black and I only accept apologies with cash payments attached. If the Star is really sorry, then put up some money to the black community.

  8. ^^And if the Star sends reparations checks out, they will bounce like a basketball.

  9. Should rename it The Black Star, and promote it as the black supporting rag it is. No problem. Let The Black Star rely on financial support and subscriptions from the "community". See how well they survive.

  11. This doesn't surprise anyone who has been paying the least bit of attention to the narrative and rationales of "leaders" in the black community.
There will NEVER be a turning of the page because their only story is one of endless victimization, entitlement, and demands.
When there are record homicides in KCMO with over 85% of them black-on-black crime and the response consists of blaming slavery, statues, "systemic racism", the chief of police, and the rest of the endless list of historical and even made-up excuses, why would anyone think that ANYTHING from ANYONE will ever change the notion of entitlement?
Just look at the "demands" and actual results of all the BLM chaos.
No serious recommendations and no changes.
There hasn't been a serious idea or any real leadership in the black community in decades.
    And none is sight.
    Sad.

  13. CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times, The Washington Post, ABC, NBC, CBS and indeed 97% of all media are the Kansas City Star writ large.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Jeff Zucker, who runs CNN, was recorded on a call prior to the election, specifically telling his "reporters" NOT to cover the Hunter Biden Lap Top scandal, which categorically proves the Thief-In-Chief, so called "President Elect" was up to his fuckin eyes in "Pay For Play" payoffs because, of course, it might hurt the Bidens.

The corruption in the 4th estate, which has moved "reporters" from so called "journalists" into the job of activists is now apparent even to idiots like the "Chud" guy. The undeniable truth is that gleaning viable and usable information that actually relates to verifiable facts with respect to local and national governments is well nigh impossible without extensive efforts.

The giddy "personalization" of the news by overexcited "Look At Me I'm So Woke" mediocrities, evidenced just last week by Mike Fannin is nauseating, but predictable. The pathetically puerile expectation that the public swoon in anticipation of every new confession of white guilt, coupled with denunciations of our nation as evil and unworthy of existence is now the Raison d'etre for most Progressive publications and networks.

The 2020 election, the Russian Collusion Hoax, Race Hoaxes, Impeachment, the litany of frauds, deceit, spin, subterfuge, obfuscation, legerdemain and lies is what passes for "Journalism" today and is supported by their "allies" in the Deep State and Big Tech. It's the 8th Circle of Hell and is visited on us daily by the democrat devils who rule over us all.

  14. Apology not accepted. We have far too much dignity and pride.

Now give me more cradle to grave welfare as my community drowns in murder.

The black community should apologize for the actions of Aaron Gant who killed many, in a bloody time in the 1980's. Huge career criminal and nobody would come forward to testify against him, so he roamed the streets free to kill for years

  18. Oh, superfly
You're gonna make your fortune by and by
But if you lose, don't ask no questions why
The only game you know is do or die
    Ah-ha-ha
    Hard to understand
What a hell of a man
    This cat of the slum
    Had a mind, wasn't dumb
    But a weakness was shown
    'Cause his hustle was wrong
    His mind was his own
    But the man lived alone
    Oh, superfly

  19. Aron Gant killed more people than Bob Burdella. You just never hear about him cause he is black. Its rarer to hear of a white guy killing multiple people. Gant killed women, moms, anyone that could testify against him. I think he killed his pregnant girlfriend too.

  20. KC Star: we are so sorry... about everything. It’s all our fault. We have egg on our face. Our former employees are to be blamed. And a lot of dead ones. We are so sorry. Can you now pay $400 a year and subscribe to our paper ? On top of comics and crossword puzzles we will dazzle you with short stories that are entirely liberal-bent and we promise to refuse to say bad stuff about Biden and no way do we investigate or run stories on Hunter. Again... we are so sorry!
