Kansas City Public Radio Plagued By Fear Of Political Violence Amid Prez Trump Aftermath

If a blogger or social media denizen was to speculate about conflict like this morning missive from KCUR, we'd get tagged for promoting fighting among Americans.

However, elitist privilege allows whispering newsies to imagine the worst for the nation or consider the very unlikely possibility that people really care deeply about the slapfight betwixt two grumpy old men.

Kansas City Political Scientists Worry The Discord Sown During The Trump Years Will Lead To Violence

Throughout his presidency, Donald Trump challenged America's democratic institutions in unprecedented ways. Trump will leave the White House in January. But even as the democratic process continues to unfold at a slower pace than usual, his refusal to accept the results of the election is worrisome, says UMKC political science professor Dr. Elizabeth Vonnahme, who argues that this rhetoric is mostly isolated to Trump and his administration.

  5. BTW, whatever happened to all the social unrest and or the coverage of? Since Bidens win, did all this BS serve it's purpose and is no longer needed for politically purposes by those taking power? Will the media finally give us a couple of years of peace now that their political party has successfully obtained their shared goal? What a shit stain!

It was not Republicans or Trump supporters burning down Minneapolis, Seattle, Portland, Philadelphia, Baltimore and the other Democrat Party shit holes.

Sadly rich Democrats are fleeing New York, California and other Democrat controlled shitholes but taking their policies and votes that created these shitholes to law and order Texas and Florida.

  11. I don’t worry the discord “sown” by the Trump years will cause violence, I hope it will. I can’t wait to see the BLM and Antifa punks beaten and left bleeding.

  12. Fuck these liberal liars and the fuckin horses they rode in on.

The lion's share of the violence, in spite of the lying MSM/DNC/Deep State agitprop shoved down our throats every day, is Progressive/DNC/BLM/AntiFa violence and everyone knows it, in spite of the Matrix like lies they shove through the tubes in our "Feeders".

The truth of the theft of the 2020 election, that even Democrats now admit (About 33% admit it, in my opinion, 75% know it.), will split this country like a fuckin rotten melon on hot summer day. The miasma chokes decent Americans into an emetic state and we are all, those of us who won't lie to ourselves and others, choking on the vomit.

The crimes that were committed against Americans over the last 4 years, by an all powerful 4th estate, Deep State, DNC and foreign (China) nations were premeditated, kill shots, designed to destroy this nation.

The liars locally (mr. mayor) and nationally who destroyed the economy (Get ready for a heavy dose of "Modern Economic Theory = Inflation and the destruction of your hopes and dreams) should be ashamed. Of course, Democrats have no shame. The pursuit of policies that destroyed the kulaks, the middle class, black, white and Hispanic, who own business' and vote center, to center right was planned and executed with "The Great ReSet" in mind.

At some point in time, I hope we can cauterize our wounds in the fires of fuckin retribution and remember that word, "execution".

  30. The Truth Of The Matter12/9/20, 11:28 AM

It is funny how we have gone from the Russians rigged the election to the election cannot be rigged !

Let’s start with this inconvenient and overriding truth about the 2020 election: there is no such thing as a Joe Biden fan. Nobody actually likes Joe Biden, nobody admires him, nobody looks up to him. He’s no one’s idea of role model or an aspiration.

Throughout his nearly 50-year career as a Washington hack politician—a nobody from a state that most Americans can’t find on a map, a lifelong, superannuated swamp dweller who has enriched himself and his family through “public service” and contributed nothing to the commonweal—Biden, 78, has “run” for president on a couple of occasions, only to discover that nobody cared.

His lies about his academic record—he didn’t win a full scholarship to Syracuse law school and didn’t graduate in the top half of his class—were easily exposed, and his speechifying pilferage from other politicians, such as both Jack and Bobby Kennedy and Britain’s Neil Kinnock, made him a laughingstock, even among reporters otherwise favorably disposed toward his brand of big-government Democrat politics.

And yet here he is, the self-proclaimed “president-elect” of the United States, a doddering senescent braggart, serial liar, plagiarist, and handsy hair-sniffer, who is even now assembling a fantasy cabinet chosen strictly along the progressive lines of race, sex, and class. If the count is to be believed, Biden somehow received more votes for president (80 million) than anyone in history, even more than the media-canonized Barack Hussein Obama, whose yes-man and water boy Biden was for eight years.

Nobody attended his few rallies. His notable absence from the hustings gave a new meaning to a “front porch” campaign for the highest office in the land, this one conducted furtively from his Delaware basement. He was often masked—his obeisance to the Dreaded Covid—and almost always accompanied protectively by his wife, “Dr.” Jill Biden, a former teacher at the open-admissions Delaware Technical and Community College, who holds a doctorate in the least demanding academic “discipline” there is, education.

His running mate, Kamala Harris is, if anything, even less popular than Biden.

Hardy, har-har. This “joke”—for so it was immediately dubbed by the sycophantic media—was almost as revelatory as an earlier unforced, pre-election Kinsley gaffe (“a mistake whereby a politician inadvertently says something truthful which they had not meant to reveal”), in which he confidently declared: “We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics.”

Forget all the hugger-mugger about Krakens, Dominion voting machines, the twin Georgia runoffs for control of the Senate, et al. The only thing that matters is this: does Election 2020 pass the smell test? And the answer is no.

Sherlock Holmes would have made short work of this problem. “When you have eliminated the impossible,” observed the great detective in several of his adventures, “whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.” History alone tells us the chances of a non-entity like Joe Biden being elected president are impossible absent a deus ex machina or simple skullduggery.

  56. "TKC is all about copying and pasting news items and stories"

That's great! Let's start with what a failure Donald Trump has been.

Trump has attempted to retain power much as he wielded it throughout his term: with a comic ineptitude of his means that made it difficult to absorb the seriousness of his ends. If you had predicted four years ago that Trump would finish his term by proposing to cancel the election and reinstall himself in a second term, you’d have been brushed off as a hysteric. And yet here he is attempting to do just that and recruiting Republican allies to his mad scheme. The certainty of his failure does not make the damage caused by the coup effort disappear. It simply makes it harder to see clearly. The surreality of Mussolini continually slipping on banana peels is the defining paradox of this sordid era.

To lead his attempted coup, Trump has turned once again to Rudy Giuliani. Just weeks before, Giuliani — who is the subject of a criminal investigation for his efforts to shake down Ukraine while working for Trump and who was colluding publicly with a man identified by the U.S. Treasury Department as a Russian spy — had produced what he called “evidence” of a global criminal plot by Joe Biden and his family. (Many people on the right spent the last ten days of the campaign scolding the media for failing to take his accusations seriously.) In the aftermath of the election, Giuliani emerged to claim he had uncovered yet another worldwide plot — this one even wider and more sinister in scope.

Giuliani has decried the sequence of ballot tabulation in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, where Trump initially registered a lead only to have mail ballots, counted over the following hours and days, reveal that Biden had won. Giuliani called this outcome “almost statistically impossible,” claiming that an unknown expert had proved its implausibility. In fact, this very outcome had been widely and publicly forecast for weeks. Trump had urged his voters to cast their ballots on Election Day and prevailed upon Republican legislators in those states to ban early counting of mail ballots — precisely so that the first announced vote totals would give him an illusory lead.

In the weeks following the election, Trump’s legal team filed a blizzard of lawsuits in battleground states, losing virtually all of them, often in humiliating fashion. After Trump supporters in Pennsylvania sued for being barred from observing the vote count, then admitted in court they had been present to observe it, a judge asked, “I’m sorry, then what’s your problem?” One of the Trump lawsuits alleging irregularities in Michigan vote totals turned out to be based on having confused that state with Minnesota and comparing vote totals in the former with the population of the latter.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Then we can move onto his sheer ineptitude! The job description of a president would seem to include at least a slight effort to confront all national crises. Instead Trump lied about a ravaging virus and razzed others who responded properly. The citizens — his bosses — noticed.

For nearly four years, Trump compiled a poor service record. He constantly inflated his resume and accomplishments to the world. He appointed lightweights for serious assignments. His policies were muddled, and he ignored repeated warnings from Congress about his abuses.

Often he failed to read important reports or heed advice. He used job resources to campaign for himself and promote his businesses, making the donation of his salary a hollow gesture. He golfed at his resorts more than anyone expected. He publicly humiliated some of those under his command for no good reason.!

  61. Trump has not done that much for the USA. Why all the Trump fans? The stock market highs, rising real estate values, stable health insurance rates now are all due to preceeding Presidents work. But you got $1,200 during the biggest disaster since 1918.......but Bush gave out the same amounts during 1998-1999 period and the economy was doing great then. Whats $1,200 really going to get you? Are you better off than 4 years ago? Or 8 years ago? Trump has divided people and cultures with anger. Washington, Lincoln, Truman, Reagan would be furious at whats happened, under the direction of Trump. I have no worries about Trump party violence. As gun ownership is pretty equally divided between democrats and republicans. Nobody is going to trample over anyone. We have 4 years to check and re-check the voting systems so everyone is convinced they work right - make good use of the 4 years.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Trump I am sure did his best. But he is a rookie politician, at this point has less than 4 years experience and is over his head. He didnt understand how things are done in D.C. He really did try. But he gets a D on the scorecard. Most Presidents get C's. None get A's. We need to set qualification for future presidents like any other job. Otherwise George Clooney could get elected on popularity alone and he would get a F- on the scorecard.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I did NOT appreciate Trump taking Hydrocloroquine for weeks without telling the public. It was not deemed safe. Its not being used at all now. It has dangerous side effects and he got sick anyway. This home remedy treat yourself medical theory of his was downright reckless. Who ever prescribed the drug should lose their FDA license to prescribe pharma products.
