Kansas City Homeless Crisis 2021 Preview

Actually, there's a homeless crisis RIGHT NOW and, again, what we're really talking about is a fundamental shift in American housing and yet another EPIC wealth transfer that leaves small time property owners out in the cold.

To be fair, here's another perspective on the human rights aspect of the struggle that totally ignores the economic implications . . .

KC metro could see 50K households at risk for homelessness, advocates say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Roughly 50,000 households in the Kansas City metro are at risk of homelessness, and there aren't enough resources to serve them all, according to local advocates. "Some agencies get so many calls, they have to stop the calls," Teresa McClain, director of development at Community LINC, said.

  1. Well then Teresa fix it. We are all sick of this BS and bitching about it. Go see the KC mayor put the weight on his back. Call Dr Fauci he seems to not be able to keep his story straight. Call him and see what this weeks agenda says to do. We don't want to hear about it anymore.

  10. Instead of "learning to code", maybe the mayor wants us all to move to China and learn to pick cotton.

  11. WHO CARES IF THE ECONOMY IS DESTROYED!!! Democrat will rule over us all!

"A significant amount of displacement has occurred that is reflected in the lower than expected deaths in older age groups and Alzheimer and dementia deaths through the summer. In-hospital deaths with a positive covid test are the highest for any setting; however, they contribute much less to the overall excess in deaths. Deaths in the home remain persistently high, and yet they receive little attention.

In other words, because of COVID-19, deaths occurred a few months earlier than might have been expected in particular populations, including the elderly and dementia patients. The increase in deaths at home concerned U.K. health officials earlier this year because they feared they were a result of people not seeking care or not receiving care because of the pandemic.

It is long past the time for the corporate media and health bureaucrats to pay attention to dissenting voices on lockdowns. The current trend appears consistent with COVID-19 accelerating deaths in people, mostly the elderly, who are already suffering from advanced illness. Pneumonia does this, as do certain types of influenza. History will look back on the severe and extended reaction to the COVID-19 pandemic as one of the greatest overreactions in history."

  12. My hope is that we will people will begin to see the homeless as real people worthy of compassion, & we'll stop with the stereotyping.

In the civilized counties, it's illegal to evict people in the winter, & squatting is tolerated as an improvement over homelessness.

If the government wants a moratorium on evictions, then it must compensate the landlords.

  13. Look at this absolute piece of shit and remember, this is the caliber of people we have, making decisions for us all without our permission. Arbitrary and capricious and most of all pernicious, insane decisions.

  15. So, is it ok, to ride the toy train?

It is in Washington, where "Light Rail" is all the rage.

"Washington State’s soulless technocrats are wasting billions in trying to stuff unwilling commuters into light rail sarcophaguses. Instead of the more traditional buses, a fraction of the cost, the collective of cretins that runs the state keeps digging up highways to put down tracks.

If we are to believe the elites, the dumb Demos have voted to expand this transit system so, like the State itself, light rail’s tentacles will reach into every community.

In the age of COVID, subways and light rail are a dubious proposition, although the latter are way worse.

Writes “Rising Serpent” on Twitter: “It takes elite level dumbfuckery to convince people that riding a subway—basically a porta potty on wheels hurtling though a dank, dark terribly ventilated underground system of tunnels with no air exchange—is safe, while going to a restaurant, church or gym is not.”

And it takes plebeian-level dumbfuckery to believe the elites.
