Surviving Today: Landlords and Tenants Square Off as Eviction Moratorium Expires
Liz Hixon got an eviction letter for Christmas. She has until Jan. 31 to get out of her apartment. Hixon signed a one-year lease in June. This would have been her first time hosting a Christmas gathering with her family. But those plans have been scrapped by the pandemic and her pending eviction.
2020 leads to a class of people that bitch about where they live, but wanting to stay for free. Weird Dat

ReplyDeleteTo show the ignorance of people take a look at that persons sign. "Profit over people." They seems to think landlords don't have any bills or mortgage to pay and don't need to buy food. Unbelievable. This is your city's problem. They need to storm city hall.
Tara Raghuveer is an entitled little bitch, living out her "woke" community organizer fantasies paid for by her successful physician parents. She not only "demands" an end to all evictions regardless of cause, forever, she also "demands" that housing be enshrined in law as a basic human right.
ReplyDeleteShe's and her marxist friends are nuts. Give her a few years though, and she'll either bore of her little adventure or her parents will cut her off. Either way she'll find a nice physician of her own, marry and move next to her parents in Leawood, and talk about her housing BS in the same way your ex-hippie accountant talks about the 1960's.
^^^^I agree
ReplyDeleteIf they weren't bitching about evictions they'd be bitching about the dilapidated condition of the buildings. They just love to bitch.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how many of the organizers and protesters are being paid for their efforts?
How does Tara feel about my mortgage? Do I need to pay that Tara? Same concept, right? I think I'll skip a few months payment and tell the bank Tara said it was gtg since tenants can do the same to landlords.

ReplyDeletethe protester's sign should read "Mo' Free Stuff!"
that's what they really want
Sorry. I have no sympathy for the tenants.
ReplyDeleteAre cities going to stop demanding property taxes from houses that are no longer under landlord/owner control, i. e. have been stolen?
ReplyDeleteTro da bums out!
ReplyDeleteWe're such a barbarous Banana Republic that we evict people in the winter during the worst pandemic in over 100 years.
ReplyDeleteWe've enshrined Capitalism so much, we have homeless people & vacant houses.
And, of course, we can't help poor people, because some of them are Black.
The Pile of Shit in the People's House said he was going to make America Great Again - yeah, the greatest of the Banana Republics.
January 20 can't come soon enough.
Shut up and pay your fucking rent Anonymous Alpinista
ReplyDeleteIt was a moritorium on evictions, not on paying rent. When the moritorium expires on Dec 31st, expect eviction notices going to squatters.
ReplyDeleteThe Alps gave a 68 notice when they were only required to give a 30 day notice. They are giving the place a face lift. Sounds more than fair to me.
It's going to be fun watching the cardboard Bidenvilles pop up in public spaces.
ReplyDeleteI had some tenants that thought they didn't need to pay rent. They found out that I didn't need to provide utilities.
ReplyDeleteIf you are a renter, it means you don't own the property and have no rights to it once you stop paying. Buy your own property and let all your friends live there for free.
