  2. sw trafficway is an obsolete road that works passably because of being a straight shot with low traffic by urban standards. but complicating the traffic pattern exiting and entering might really slow the flow down.

  3. If you look a the "businesses" that are already located in the area of 39th and SW Trafficway, a QuickTrip would seem to be an upgrade.

That said, a better improvement would be to tear down the derelict building located between 11th & 12th, Oak and Locust and build something as useful as a QuickTrip at that location.

  5. The Council needs to consider what is good for the area including the neighborhoods surrounding the proposed site. You only need so many gas stations in an area...

  6. Corporate Greed, The merchants and neighborhoods of this area will be totally against this location.

  11. dammit that neighborhood groups mention busyness and narrowness of 39th street ... they screwed up. now they will be on the worst radar screen

bike KC will soon propose a road diet

upon staff recommendation, council will divert what remains of goKC funds for a study, hires bike KC to perform that study and consult it, and voila! parking logs laid down in the middle of the road just like on Gillham now, no one happy, no safety for bikes and mad inconvenience for drivers.

watch out there are plans to ruin 39th street bi-state, along the lines of armor or gilham style. they just got a complete streets ordinance snuck thru in KCK so the buzzwordy groundwork is being laid. there will be a plan to devastate the streetscapes all thru the 39th corridor, connecting to ku med, etc.

you heard it here first. many morons here but sometimes .... a gem
