Disgraced Kansas City priest has died
KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- Funeral services were recently held for Father Michael Tierney, according to an obituary. He was 76. Tierney was the subject of lawsuits for being a suspected predator inside local Catholic churches. He denied allegations, but there were multiple accusers and the Catholic Church placed him on a list acknowledging the credibility of the accusations.

ReplyDeleteBergoglio was the subject of allegations regarding the Navy's kidnapping of two Jesuit priests, Orlando Yorio and Franz Jalics, in May 1976, during Argentina's Dirty War. Yorio accused Bergoglio of effectively handing them over to the death squads by declining to tell the authorities that he endorsed their work. Yorio, who died in 2000, said in a 1999 interview that he believed that Bergoglio did nothing "to free us, in fact just the opposite".
In 2015, Francis was criticized for supporting Chilean bishop Juan Barros, who was accused of covering up sex crimes committed against minors.
In 2018, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò published an open letter criticizing Pope Francis's handling of the Cardinal McCarrick sex abuse scandal.
During the 2016 United States presidential election, Francis said of Trump, "A person who only thinks about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not Christian. That is not the gospel."
(Note to reader: The Pope's residence, Vatican City, is a walled independent enclave within the city of Rome. It is legally and politically not a part of Italy.)

As far as the law is concerned, each diocese is a separate legal entity, incorporated in the states where it operates. As well, the Catholic Church is structured as a separate legal entity in each country where it operates. Because it is legally autonomous worldwide and pays no taxes, with corporate shells within shells, it is virtually impossible to estimate the financial holdings of the Catholic Church, but most agree it is easily one of the wealthiest corporations in the world.

ReplyDeleteThe Catholic church is a false religion. It looks ok from a distance, but its a sure way to end up in hell. It quietly claims Jesus Christ failed and his death on the cross cant save you from your sins and ensure you go to heaven when you die. So you save yourself by good works and time spent in purgatory. So Jesus was a failure? Really? And you can save yourself? Actually accomplish what Jesus couldn't do? By burning candles, chanting prayers and staying in purgatory for a while?
ReplyDeleteThis Priest is roasting in hell begging for Jesus. But Jesus sent him there and there is no return. This priest mislead many into believing Jesus was a failure on the cross.
