Vaccine distribution lags in KC metro and across US, slowing progress health leaders hoped for

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Getting COVID-19 vaccines distributed widely is taking much longer than many had hoped. Some metro health departments haven't gotten any doses of the vaccine. Truman Medical Center said it's making remarkable strides. Nearly half of all its employees have now received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination, but it appears across the [...]

  1. No one wants it, not first responders, nurses.

Why would anyone 60 or younger in ok health take the risk of a bad reaction when they have a 99.998 percent chance of surviving already.

    1. A vaccine will not prevent you from getting it.

  3. Over a million have gotten the vaccine so far and if China flu joe and both his hoes were in charge they’d have to wait another year or more for a vaccine. Weird.

Besides, You can’t make them take it if they don’t want.

  6. SARS-CoV-2 has now been in the U.S. for over a year.
If I came in contact with it, I didn't get sick.
I never wore a mask until stores mandated you had to for entry.
For my demographic, even if I contract it, my risk of hospitalization/death is a fraction of 1-percent.
Even if it's free, why would I get tested? The tests are inaccurate.
Why would I take an experimental rushed vaccine for something that poses almost no threat to me, and then go back weeks later for a 2nd shot?

And you're still wondering why most Americans under the age of 70-80 are suspicious about this entire scenario?

  8. Obama brought us more transgender (.4% of the population) bathrooms and expensive health plans where we couldn't keep our doctor. Trump brought us jobs, lower taxes, bigger paychecks and a vaccine in record time. Obama and Jimmy Carter are the two worst presidents in U.S. history.

The deaths at John Knox Village retirement community that have been publicized recently took place at their Care Center. This is their end-of-life facility where residents with life-threatening conditions are transferred to from their independent house/apartment setting.

Elderly sick people are the most vulnerable to Covid-19. Their weakened state makes it much more difficult for their compromised immune system to conquer the virus. Starting back in the Spring, these are the people that should have been protected and quarantined, while everyone else went about their routine.
