From upscale cigar shops to corner stores . . . Council once again reminds us that they hate small biz and want to regulate nearly every industry out of existence rather than letting people make their own decisions.
Take a look . . .
KCMO City Council expected to consider ban on flavored tobacco products
Flavored tobacco products may soon be banned from stores in Kansas City, Missouri. The City Council will consider an ordinance this month. At this Fav Trip in Kansas City, tobacco products make up 70% of sales.
And people will go outside the City limits for it just like happened with Kansas during the blue laws on Sundays.

ReplyDeleteWhy doesn't the convenience stores carry flavored dildo's instead. I'm sure they could make up the profits lost by the flavored tobacco even more so.
Can I still get my Blunts ? asking for Tyrone
ReplyDeleteI love spending my assistance money to buy some flavor flav. Cocoa puff da shit. Always drop my wrappers 12 feet from kum n go entrance and then hang out by the door askin for money.
ReplyDeletethe council should be more worried about the wrappers around those flavored tobacco products. the wrappers are littered 99% of the time. the tobacco likely littered too but it just blows away. those foil blunt wraps are a littering menace all over KC. an ordinance placing a tax on oft-littered items could be considered. fast-food a huge problem too.
ReplyDeletethe bans on flavored nicotine products will be funny colliding with the nascent medical marijuana industry, which routinely has flavored products with names such as grape ape, apple jack etc etc. :) nicotine industry will be like "hey we cant sell tooti frooti chewing tobacco, but look what they are doing ..."
