Bubba Was A Bust

Fanboys agree that the hometown hero never lived up to his potential — Which is true of most people but provides an exceptionally fun aspect of criticism for ball players wherein stats can quantify their career FAIL.

Kansas City Royals: Bubba Starling non-tender cements bust status

I like Bubba Starling. I'd have liked him even more had he honored his commitment to the University of Nebraska when they gave him a football scholarship to play quarterback for the Big Red. After being drafted fifth overall in the first round of the 2011 draft, and being offered a $7.5M signing bonus, Starling signed with the Kansas City Royals.

  7. @ 1158 - But you're a better loser because you have no skills and never accomplished anything. At least Bubba can say he was a professional athlete, meaning got paid. He may still have opportunities elsewhere.
