Bike/Walk KC Begs For Money

The pitch from local advocates against autos touts their policy work across the metro.

Money line . . .

Over the last five years, our region has averaged 233 crash-related deaths and 1200 serious injuries per year. In 2020, over 100 people have died in auto crashes in KCMO alone. We believe these deaths are preventable and safer streets are possible.

BikeWalkKC is proud to lead the charge for active transportation policy in our metro.

Your gift amplifies our voice in city halls and school districts throughout the region, strengthening coalitions of families, neighborhoods, and agencies demanding safer streets.

To be fair, repeated incidents like a HORRIFIC CRASH IN KCK often inspires locals to rethink their transit bias.

  9. “Over the last five years, our region has averaged 233 crash-related deaths and 1200 serious injuries per year.“ did he say region and not killer kc as a whole? Funny how anybody related to the mayor, fat rexy and the city clowncil now include “the entire region” to inflate what’s going on in kc proper. Don’t get caught up in the lies people.

Besides, these aren’t bicycle deaths, they’re covid deaths! Hahahahaha!

  10. Their goal is to allow me to ride my bike safely.
However, as far as I can tell they are 0-for-2 in their efforts.
The Armor Boulevard and Gillam road attempts are failures.
Is this their design? Did they try and incorporate everyone's opinion and now we are left with these dysfunctional results?
Maybe, just maybe, the city should hire an actual professional (instead of well intentioned activist) to design simple bike lanes.
Decision by committee are the results you see now. It never works.
