Dozen hospitals in KC region anticipate staffing shortages

The increase in hospitalizations is putting a strain on staffing at hospitals on both sides of the state line. KMBC 9 talked to the Kansas Hospital Association and doctors at hospitals in the metro about what they're seeing and how they plan to address staffing concerns.

  1. Even according to the article, the hospitals are handling the amount of patients they have just fine. If numbers increase, then they will use staff from elective surgery positions. I'm not hearing anything that says this is a crisis.
