PETITIONERS AGAINST MAYOR Q REVEAL THAT FEAR OF RETALIATION KEPT MANY VOTERS FROM SIGNING!!!
Here's the street level word from a local volunteer:
"I helped gather signatures at the polls last week and was shocked about how many people had no idea what was going on in the city . . . There were a lot of people who were afraid to sign because of retaliation. How sad is that?"
Sad indeed but typical for Kansas City voters.
The bright side, petition activists plan to keep their group together hand help inform voters.
"Basically our mission will be to keep trying to reach people and inform them of what’s going on in our city. Hopefully our group will grow and more people can become informed and make better choices when voting in the future."
