Show-Me Pay Raise For Missouri Politicos

Pandemic tough times don't stop this salary hike for local lawmakers who have been on the road more than ever this year and confronting increased hardships as legislators.

Check-it:

Commission proposes raise for Missouri lawmakers, would be first since 2007

A state board thinks Missouri politicians need a raise. The Citizen's Commission on Compensation for Elected Officials, a 21-member bipartisan group, voted Thursday for a 5 percent bump for statewide elected officials and members of the General Assembly. If the legislature doesn't object, the increases would be phased in over the next two years.

Initally, public legislative service was not intended to be a lifelong endeavor, but instead, a limited offering of one's service.

Of course, after seeing how lucrative it can be, elective office is now a plum to be plucked as long as possible. Just look at China Joe and sonny boy Hunter, along with the Clintons.

Term limits will never be adopted because the adoptees are the crooks.
