With blaring car horns, victory signs, and dancing in the streets, Kansas City experienced a burst of euphoria after news networks declared Joe Biden president-elect of the United States. It was a fun celebration-but not richly deserved. In this monumental 2020 election, 59.89 percent of registered voters in the Jackson County portion of Kansas City voted.
