We talked about the impending legal argument against city hall FIRST on TKC. And now the mayor seems confident he'll win any courtroom fight . . .
"We are allowed to try to keep people safe," Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said. "We'll continue to keep people safe. We will defend any litigation and we’ll be successful."
The KSHB follow-up is a bit biased and omits a few important deets but still worth a look:
The Blue Line weighs options ahead of COVID-19 restrictions
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - At least one Kansas City, Missouri, bar is weighing its options, including legal ones, before the city's latest COVID-19 restrictions go into effect. The Blue Line, a River Market staple, closes at 3 a.m., and guidelines that require restaurants to close at 10 p.m.
Q has made a lot of predictions. Not all of them have come true.
ReplyDeleteHe's banking on Jeff City not getting involved.
But most people know that he's pressing his luck.
^^^
DeleteThe restrictions have been tested in other courts. They usually stand up. Good for him for standing up to the scare tactics.
The scare tactics are what Professor McDrinkerson is trying to use.
DeleteUnfortunately many people will ignore the restrictions and they won't be effectively enforced.
ReplyDeleteSo, at the end of the day, the results won't be what Lucas is claiming.
Results are achieved by dealing effectively with reality, not empty rhetoric.
Maybe kneeling might help.
So I guess Q will be spending a lot of time at his favorire gay bar in Lawrence?

ReplyDeleteActually this place has a good suit because Lucas has been known to violate the rules he sets in place. Lucas has also let black people violate the rules so I would think there would be a discrimination suit too. Keep an eye on Lucas and take pictures I'm sure he will be caught in the act.
It is interesting that Q thinks that trying to “keep people safe” provides a grant of unlimited and unrestrained power to government. That is a novel thought.
ReplyDeleteIf Quinton cares about keeping people safe, why are ghetto negroes killing other ghetto negroes at an all-time record pace?
ReplyDelete"We are allowed to try to keep people safe," Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas said. "We'll continue to keep people safe."
ReplyDeleteRemember when Lucas was in the streets protesting and made sure those who destroyed and robbed places under the disguise of protesting all got a free pass from prosecution.
Lucas does not have your best interests in hand. Another lie from Lucas.
Yeah. The jerk pardoned 240 of them
DeleteThat's aiding and abetting.
Mayor Q Seyz Kansas City Will Defeat Legal Opposition To COVID-19 Curfew Crackdown
ReplyDelete...after all, everyone knows that a former diversity-hire "law lecturer" talking smack, should be believed.
And City Hall attorneys defeating their opposition? Local plaintiff's attorneys routinely run circles around City Hall staff to take millions of dollars for their clients.
The mayor was using blue springs as an example of restrictions set that were challenged in court and lost, the problem with this half truth is it went back to court and it was beat the 2nd time around, they had to change their “rules” so yes mayor, these bullshit crackdowns can be beat in the court of law.

ReplyDeleteTop Pathologist Claims Coronavirus is “The Greatest Hoax Ever Perpetrated on an Unsuspecting Public”
Says “masks are utterly useless.”
Top pathologist Dr. Roger Hodkinson told government officials in Alberta during a zoom conference call that the current coronavirus crisis is “the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public.”
Hodkinson’s comments were made during a discussion involving the Community and Public Services Committee and the clip was subsequently uploaded to YouTube.
Noting that he was also an expert in virology, Hodkinson pointed out that his role as CEO of a biotech company that manufactures COVID tests means, “I might know a little bit about all this.”
“There is utterly unfounded public hysteria driven by the media and politicians, it’s outrageous, this is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on an unsuspecting public,” said Hodkinson.
The doctor said that nothing could be done to stop the spread of the virus besides protecting older more vulnerable people and that the whole situation represented “politics playing medicine, and that’s a very dangerous game.”
