Local staffing firm hype is safely hidden behind a paywall and it's uncerain if anybody pushing java programming in this day and age is on the level . . . Even if a few of our "classic" TKC widgets are built using this "refined" language.

Anyhoo, here's more local hope as the "dark days" of Winter loom . . .

  2. They are only looking for local candidates because laws changed. They can no longer "import contract programmers" from India because of the H-1 visa law changes and limits now in place.

Laws changed, otherwise you would not see this offer / article at all and they would be arranging to use Java guys from India. Not local talent.....as they have done for over 20 years! Many of their projects were almost 100% H-1 visa contractors.

  3. I used to work at Sprint. Gen10 did a project proposal for us. It included about 100 resumes of Indian consultants who were not US Citizens or even local citizens. Not 1 American's resume in the proposal.

    We rejected it.

  4. I've worked with IT contractors here and in India. US company sends code to India to work on overnight. In morning they receive completed code back and spend part of day fixing the bugs. Some male Indian contractors have problems taking orders from females.

  5. If something, online, is hidden behind a pay-wall ... continued net searches should produce other sources with the very same information. It works for stories in large newspapers, because I have posted free links to those stories on MeWe.

  6. But once the H-1 visa route is reopened, they will hire indians, not the american they trained. Indians are paid $25 hr. American want $35.

  7. All I know is that you don’t want those Indians as neighbors if you live in apartment. They stink. Bad. From the ingredients they cook with and eat.
