Kansas City Tobacco Flavor Ban Push Back

A recent social media share offers this peek at an extremely low rent voter information effort posted a convenience store . . . So far the most interesting part of the discussion is that THE PROPOSED TOBACCO FLAVOR BAN ALSO THREATENS A CRACKDOWN ON FLAVORED WRAPS PREFERRED BY MANY LOCAL WEED SMOKERS.

It's a scumbag issue for the most part but yet another example of KCMO's serving as one of the most unfriendly places for small biz to operate . . . And, one again, this will likely push more of smoke shop biz outside of city limits at a time when these places are struggling to maintain jobs.

  2. This is exactly the kind of over reach this city government is known for, leave us alone and get out of our way. We will choose what we want to do not you. This has the fat fake dr rely all over it.

  3. So if you want to buy outside of KC that would be great. Leave KC in the dust as far a business goes. No wonder the burbs are booming. KC won't get sales tax either. This is why we used people like Quinton Lucas to pick cotton. These idiots can't do anything else.

  5. Um, the mayor's not even the one who introduced this ordinance. This ordinance is sponsored by Councilwoman Parks-Shaw and Councilman O'neill. It didn't even make it out of committee yet to be voted on by the full council because others felt tweaking needed to be done to it. There really was no reason for the mayor's name to get mentioned with this ordinance yet. LOL

  6. OF course not. He's never involved with stupid shit like this right?

  7. But you want to allow recreational Pot?

  8. Don't blacks who smoke tobacco generally prefer mentholated cigarettes? So enforcement of the ordinance, if passed, will fall upon the African American community the hardest.

    This ordinance is racist.

  9. Actually the most interesting part of this is that it completely bans flavored e-cigarette liquids and has the potential to close all KC electronic cigarette vape shops by banning products that are safer then cigarettes by far, leaving the choice to either smoke cigarettes again or buy them outside the KC area... An example of government overreach at its worst.
