Kansas City Star Vs. KCPD Cont'd

The paper of record continues its crusade against the po-po with a feature story targeting the top cop and seemingly arguing that officers should suffer ALLEGATIONS of wrongdoing BEFORE any official ruling or a jury trial i.e. that newspaper seems to be saying that cops are guilty until proven innocent

Check-it . . .

KC police officers charged with crimes still on payroll, courtesy of Chief Rick Smith

Four Kansas City police officers are currently facing criminal charges. And, at the direction of Police Chief Rick Smith, all four are still on the public payroll. In at least one case - that of Kansas City Police Department Detective Eric J.

  1. Smith will be chief longer than the Star will be a newspaper.

  2. Isn't that innocent until proven guilty? I wonder if retired Yell Ab-Bu-Hocka is directing The Star from his bunker?

  3. I predict that convictions will not follow. IF these folks are without pay for 1-2 years it takes to get to court then they cannot live or defend themselves. These appear to be politically influenced prosecutions. Nobody in area law enforcement believes there are crimes here. But there is a newly more progressively Democrat prosecutors office.

Has the Star fired anyone on their staff who has been arrested and charged with a crime before an outcome is rendered in court?

  5. BREAKING!!!!

The Kansas City Star Editorial Board: Colleen McCain Nelson, Derek Donovan, Dave Helling, Melinda Henneberger and Toriano Porter

Apparently, still on the McClatchy payroll (for now) after the public has charged them with disorderly conduct, violation of professional ethics, and abandonment of logic and reason.

  6. Turn the Star building into an aquarium for gofer's 25 million tourists.
Helling can perform as a pearl diving boy. Diving for pearls of wisdom.
Hindenberger and Nihilistic Nelson can be mermaids promoting the radical agenda of BLM and antifa.
