Kansas City Royals Ready To Demand Corporate Welfare Amid COVID-19 Recession

It's interesting to see "progressives" tout stock market gains whilst most of the nation still suffers from the economic impact of the current plague.

Still, downtown dreamers continue to tout a sketchy project inside the loop as a billionaire begs for taxpayer handouts on behalf of a team that had a few lucky years but currently stands as one of the worst franchises in the MLB.

Here's the hype report . . .

Royals Owner Does Not Rule Out Downtown Ballpark: A Conversation With John Sherman

Talk about the possibility of bringing baseball to downtown Kansas City, long a dream of real estate developers and civic boosters, got a further boost a few weeks ago when The Kansas City Star announced it would be vacating the two-block-long glass building it now occupies at 16 th and McGee Streets by the end of next year.

  4. The stock market is booming because the large globalist corps and their billionaire owners are making a killing putting everyone else out of business with covid restrictions.

Suckers, 2 more weeks until the 90% effective vaccine for an illness 80% don't know they have with a 99.95% recovery rate.

  5. The Downtown stadium will be a boon to Democrat "Urban Youths" and homeless bums...

as they'll have a wide selection of cars to break into on game nites.

  8. A new stadium for a piece of shit losing franchise? If they want to leave, let them go. They don’t even care how many games they lose.

  9. Without a job for nearly 8 Covid months, I am wanting the city to give each of the Royal's key players 200 million bucks and each co owner atleast 2 billion. Let's celebrate success while thousands starve. Build them a stadium. That stadium will be great when the Gladiator sports return. Call it Amazon thunderdome.

    enough already

  11. Jackson County taxpayers would be crazy to vote for a new downtown baseball stadium giving a billionaire owner and multi-millionaire players our hard earned tax money.

The Royals and Chiefs are private, profitable entities, let them earn their own way like all the small businesses that are being shut down due to Quentin Lucas and Rex Archer.

We need roads repaired, law enforcement, new water lines, bridges, new streets, you know the basic stuff that taxpayer money is SUPPOSED to fund.

Multi-Billionaire Clark Hunt receiving millions of taxpayer dollars each year is beyond insanity.

  12. Fucking baseball football athletes are exempt for earnings tax but yet they want the workers to pay for the millionaires

  13. 7:35, excellent comment, but if JaCoMo voters doing something crazy is an option, take it to the bank that they will.
