Local finances are getting worse but that doesn't stop the tax and spend strategy of KCMO leaders. Leaders have wanted a local aquarium for years and now they're moving forward as city hall moves closer toward bankruptcy.

KC Zoo's $75 million aquarium project receives approval
A new $75 million aquarium is planned for the Kansas City Zoo. The Kansas City, Missouri, Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners gave approval Tuesday for the Friends of the Zoo to begin construction on the new exhibit in "early 2021."
This is brilliant! How about linking the too choo choo to it and the empty half built airport while you morons are at it?
ReplyDeleteYou're the only moron around here
Deleteyea, seems really cool since they are trying to cut the KCPD budget. (insert eye roll) i would prefer to be safe than look at fish. I can look at fish for free at cabela's and bass pro.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! This will be great for the city! Keep moving forward! Great to see such progress!
ReplyDeleteIs this the momentum that gopher boi is always talking about?
ReplyDeleteBrilliant move during the plandemic, shit has been falling apart for a decade and the city spends 75 million on fish, where’s the recall at next, I’m signing as fast as I can.
Where the hell is the money for this coming from?
ReplyDeleteLet's build a $75 million dollar aquarium but no one will be able to see it because of Biden's proposed country-wide lockdown.
ReplyDeleteMakes total sense in the Marxist world of insanity.
Why isn't the $75 million put to improving the roads, sewer and water infrastructure that is crumbling?
^^ that makes to much sense. Can't have that in KC.
ReplyDeleteLike I am going into that part of town..and when will first stray bullet take out a tank ?
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeletebut..but..that's $75 mil that KC could be adding to their wonderful, hugely successful 18th and Vine project!
the aquarium will be much larger than the new tiger enclosure that cost
ReplyDelete$500K. Isn't that GREAT 9:37!
friends of the zoo should not be dictating any hobby lobby projects anywhere in the city.
ReplyDeleteLondon Zoo and the Victorians, 1828-1859
ReplyDelete75 million for a project in the most dangerous and worse part of KCMO?
ReplyDeleteI love animals, the zoo and KC, but it does seem like a really bad time to undertake a project like this.
ReplyDeletekansas city would be really nice if it were at the bottom of a mountain it couldn't fuck up, deference for something that makes them feel small & stupid, but it is not.
ReplyDeleteIf all the geriatric, fucktard, shut-ins hate it, it must be great for the city! Good job KC Zoo. Keep moving forward. It will be a tremendous addition to a fantastic Zoo! Great job!
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see your exhibit spot in the zoo 8:52, great for the city to have you caged in there.
ReplyDelete^^and yet you never leave your rented trailer in Frogville, and don't have the funds for admission so... Weird.
ReplyDeleteyou always say the same tired shit
ReplyDelete^^And yet so does everybody on this tired blog. Weird.
ReplyDeleteglad you feel you fit in somewhere.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great monument to the proletariat this new people’s aquarium will be. The greedy capitalists would never give the oppressed people of Kansas City such a gift as Comrade Lucas and the KC Soviet council is proposing.
ReplyDelete^^and it will be fantastic, a major attraction for our city, and the people will love it. Weird.
