Right now we want to reach out to our blog community for insight and perspective on local COVID-19 shut downs that dominated the discourse this week.
However, we should note one additional fact that has so far been excluded from the conversation . . .
KANSAS CITY RESTAURANT & BAR OWNERS THREATEN: MANY LOCALS WILL NEVER REOPEN BECAUSE COVID REGS REVEALED 12TH & OAK HATES SMALL BIZ!!!
The justification for this argument is that so many small biz believe rules have been enforced unequally with box stores earning less oversight, Mayor Q never sought to build a consensus among small biz before enacting curfew regulations and city hall has repudiated conservative-leaning small biz owners by attempting utilize local suffering in arguments to support progressive attempts to further controversial stimulus plans at the federal level.
And so . . .
SMALL BIZ THREATENS THAT LOCAL PARTY PLACES WILL RELOCATE TO THE SUBURBS TO AVOID CONTINUED CITY HALL PERSECUTION!!! SO WE ASK: HAS THE CLUMSY COVID CRACKDOWN KILLED JOBS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED WITH MORE PANDEMIC COOPERATION FROM MAYOR Q???
To be clear . . .
Nobody is saying that more regulation and precautions aren't necessary. The top complaint that we're hearing is that the rules are arbitrary and lean on local small biz more than anyone else. Again, even worse, there was no effort to build trust, cooperation and input from small biz by 12th & Oak . . . Just mean tweets and bold pronouncements from the Mayor.
