Kansas City Independence Ave Bridge Kills Three Semi-Trucks This Week

A devastating win streak continues for this local passage that remains undefeated.

KSHB: Independence Avenue bridge goes 3-0 this week

KCTV5: Third time in 5 days - Trucks keep driving into the Independence Avenue Bridge

Drive safely and if you have any trucker friends (cool), tell them to beware.

The bridge clearance is clearly displayed. Every driver is supposed to be aware of the height of his rig. I'd certainly like to hear one of these drivers explain to his boss how he managed to fuck up so badly.

I admit it is the truck drivers fault to about 95%. The intersections on both sides of that bridge are a mess. A lot of traffic and people in cars driving crazy. That is very distracting to someone driving a 70' long truck. Rather than focus blame why not eliminate the problem? Time for KCMO and the KC Railway to put a plan together to remove the bad situation.

I guaran-damn-tee that these three drivers were using their Google Map. It does not indicate low clearances or truck route. Real ass truck drivers run a top end Garmin that warns you of low clearances and non truck routes
