Kansas City hospital receiving more patient transfer requests from surrounding areas
Doctors at the University of Kansas Health System say they have seen an increase in calls requesting to transfer patients in need of critical care in recent weeks."What they tell us when they call is 'We've called all of our normal places, and they're unable to accept,'" said Dr. Steve Wild, Vice President of Performance.
