Settlement, severance agreements for 5 Clay County employees approved

Five top county administrators with Clay County government announced late on Election Day their resignations in an unsigned release from the county.News of the resignations comes after years of controversy, an ongoing state audit, and multiple investigations by KMBC 9 News into practices of the administration and elected officials.Clay County Commissioners Gene Owen and Luann Ridgeway approved settlement and severance agreements for five employees, including three of the county's top administrators Nicole Brown, Brad Garrett and Laurie Portwood.
