Activists Demand Jackson County Statue Removal Despite Voter Endorsement

Democracy isn't good enough for a few denizens of the discourse . . . Rather than proposing a replacement (like a gully statue of Bo Jackson) or educating more voters in order to win support somewhere down the line . . . A few metro activists would rather defy the will of the electorate.

Check-it . . .

KC activists will continue fight to remove Andrew Jackson statues

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Although the ballot measure to remove the Andrew Jackson statues in Jackson County wasn't approved Tuesday, activists don't plan to give up until the statues are gone. "I had hoped the legislator themselves would have removed it instead of dodging the issue and sending it to the voters," Rev.

  1. By hero Jackson killed natives.

There is a reason they were called SAVAGES.

  2. Jackson isn't honored because he killed Indians and owned slaves. He is honored because he truly is the first popularly elected President. That's why he became one of the patron saints of the old Democrat Party. Of course, the new socialist Democrat Party hates America, so off with his head!

  3. The people have spoken, the taxpaying citizens that is, maybe Frankie boy has a little something to do with this since he got spanked in the election......

  4. As long as the "activists" stick to working on meaningless issues they are doing no harm. About the best we can hope from them.

  5. Frank hates Whites is still crying. 😏🍿

  6. Statues aren't meaningless. It starts with Jackson and Lee, then goes to Jefferson and Washington. The cross has been made illegal in public life. Then follows the Declaration of Independence and the Ten Commandments. Lastly, the Constitution, or what is left of it. And then we're left with Karl Marx.

  7. No fair. 10:44 peeked at the last chapter. Spoiler alert!

  8. Hey Mims! Your side lost by 20% of the vote. The statues stay! Grow up and accept the will of the people. Just another fat reverend making himself more important. If 60% of the people of his church voted to dismiss him as pastor he would be gone.

  9. Why do they want the statue removed? Just because Andrew Jackson owned some niggers?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Doesn't Frank White have some property taxes to screw up somewhere?

  13. Maybe Johnny Humphrey should send those naked pics of Franks secretary that he shows around to a 3-D printer and we could have a new statue?

  17. @10:44 no one ever reads Marx and your statement proved it. He said capital(value) is god. If anything Marx’s criticism of Christianity is what Jesus did towards Judaism. The cross was used against political agitators. Read the Bible please. Marx did.

@11:20 sure they did, but they didn’t erase them or at least adopted their traditions. What the Europeans, probably what you are, did was annihilate them. Same as what is happening to Palestinians. These savages were more alive than you.
Funny thing is because they didn’t build anything is why colonizers brought in African slaves. Natives were nomads and adroit horse riders, warriors. Mexico didn’t have much African influx cause natives there were urbanized, belong to a societal hierarchy and became slaves. You’re welcome.

Send them to Tony or shut up.

  20. 3:15. Funny because it was Europeans who introduced horses to North America, including to the local Indian tribes who simply walked before then, not even figuring out the wheel to make hauling their stuff around easier.

Also, if you weren’t ignorant of history you would know that the first white men who came to the area sought to convert the Indians to Christianity and save their souls. Read up on the History of Fr. DeSmet and the French Jesuits. More interesting reading would be that of the North American martyrs - Christian missionaries who died gruesome deaths at the hands of the Indians to whose they sought to bring the benefits of Christian civilization. If you are unable to read, you could always watch the movie, Black Robe to be introduced to the subject.

  21. Black Robe is an excellent movie. Recommended no matter what your politics are.

  22. @3:15, you need to check your "facts"...

Per a Morehouse University study published in Scientific American in 1995...

    1) Just over 3,200,000 African Slaves were brought to the Western Hemispherein the 1600s, 1700s and 1800s.

    2) Slightly more than 2,100,000 went to Spanish and Brazilian colonies in Central and South America.

    3) About 650,000 went to the Caribbean (West Indies) Islands.

    4) 300,000 went to Mexico.

    5) The remaining 150,000 came to North America.

So, unlike what you said, TWICE as many African Slaves went to Mexico as to the US, your statement that they were nomadic excellent horsemen has problems, since horses didn't exist in the Western Hemisphere until after the Spanish Conquest, and your claim that the Native Americans in what is now the US "weren't urbanized" would surprise the Southwestern Anasazi and Pueblos, the Hopewell Culture Mound Builders, and the various Southeastern Farming communities.

Zero out of four ain't good, BUB.

  23. 3:36 nobody believes that white man's BS history. White people are historical liars, and guess what, nobody believes your lying asses. Take the racist statute down.

  24. @3:36; 4:30
Ha, no one is denying horses weren’t brought by Europeans, by the time the English colonizers came to Preamerica, they easily had a hundred years of horse riding. When I say urbanized I’m talking about the original colonies, New England. Unable to enslave the natives, they relied on their Calvinistic values, I give them credit for that, but it was a hard lesson, an exception was the Wampanoag tribe who were sold to slavery. They brought you thanksgiving.
Yes, it is understood more Africans went to South America, Brazil is a good example, Central America and Caribbean. Mexico was a slave trade hub. Indigenous and slaves assimilated, many Mexicans have African DNA. I don’t refute the number, perhaps they had more but BLM is not an issue there.
Necessity is the mother of invention, read up on the original affluent society, technology was not a cornerstone for many original people.
    Their needs were met.
As far as Christianity goes I discount it from the fourth century on, Constantine made a pact with Christians, built Constantinople on a Christian foundation and they became the oppressors.

  25. You went to Berkeley didn't you 5:34?

  29. @6:48, yeah, the state of Guerrero has the highest black population, but many identify as Amerindian Mexican.

@7:04, simply put, why the hell would I build it if I don’t need it?! Why would I need more food if it’ll go to waste or worst I’ll deplete it and go hungry! That’s the affluent society!
Or as Aristotle put it, “wealth is not a measure of possessions but of service” douche.
