TKC MUST READ!!! KANSAS CITY COMMUNITY NEWS CALLS OUT JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR JEAN PETERS BAKER FOR SKIPPING FORUM!!!

As the election quickly approaches, Kansas City community journalists have been continually ignored by elected officials.

The latest example . . .

JACKSON COUNTY PROSECUTOR MEAN JEAN WON'T ANSWER NORTHEAST KANSAS CITY!!!

Check the link for some great Photoshop and a scathing editorial that, admittedly, follows years of constant criticism . . .

Northeast News: Missing In Action

Deets . . .

"Representatives of our organization as well as representatives of the Northeast Chamber of Commerce have repeatedly attempted to reach the prosecutor and invite her to a moderated candidate’s forum on the evening of October 29. Over eight attempts have been made by three separate individuals since the first days of September, to be exact, but we’ve yet to hear a peep from the sitting prosecutor.

"Crickets."

Of course, COVID-19 has changed the debate/forum game this year and the prosecutor isn't the only politico to skip out on public events.

Still, this is one of the strongest editorial rebukes we've seen this election cycle.

As the homicide rate reaches a historic milestone, we can only expect more push back from the public against politicos who have allegedly distanced themselves from the community of voters.

You decide . . .

Comments

  1. She'll probably win easily against her opponent so it doesn't make any sense for her to debate.

It would be nice for elected leaders to be more transparent about their job duties, but that's not going to happen any time soon.

  3. This is exactly what you can expect, in the entire country, when Democrats harvest and steal elections and enforce the diktats of a one party system.

Even if Trump wins in 2020, DEMOGRAPHICS ARE DESTINY and the Democrats will eventually (At the latest in 2024) take control. 25 million illegal immigrants will become voting citizens overnight, Borders will be opened up. They will then pack the Supreme Court, remove the filibuster, make Puerto Rico and Washington D.C. States and enact the Democrat Singularity. There will be at that point, ZERO discourse allowed from ANYONE that does not follow the Democrat Party line. The Chinese Social Credit Paradigm which is now, partially in effect here in the US by way of Cancel Culture/Political Correctness initiatives, enforced by Big Tech, The Media, The Deep State, The DNC and now, even our Military will be codified into statutes, legislation and a soup de jour, extemporaneous interpretation and enforcement by the exact same BLM/AntiFa/Brown-Shirts you see now, in the streets, wrecking civilization, cities, neighborhoods and the hopes and dreams of middle class Americans.

NO debate will be necessary, or even expected. Putin doesn't debate (The death of irony continues.) Mao didn't debate, Ceausescu didn't debate, Pol Pot didn't debate.

The media, led by Fascists like Chris Hayes from MSNBC will insist on re-education camps for those intrepid souls brave enough to speak out-

Mean Jean's lack of respect for the Northland voters who obviously hold her in contempt, is just a whiff of grapeshot for the inevitable change that is coming.

As a geezer, I usually come on here to poke the liberal bear and have a little fun, but your comments are like a dagger to the heart, prompting this response.

I am fortunate to have grown up in the 50's. It was a great time to be young. Our surviving dads (and moms) were rebuilding their lives, families, and communities, having sacrificed their young adult years to defeat the Axis powers.

It is a tragedy that today's youth are not allowed to learn about our unique history. Seceding from the greatest military power of the time was a very close call, and the resulting existence of the United States was often in doubt.

They have absolutely no conception of the often precarious milestones which layered success upon success to create the greatest country ever. Perfection? Of course not, but those before us steadily did their level best to improve our lives decade after decade.

As you so clearly stated, the grand experiment is breathing its last. I never thought to see it, and the world, one day, will surely regret the demise of this wonderful republic.

  29. Reality Speaker @ 12:18

My ancestors fought, as did yours, in American wars, here and abroad. From the Civil War, to WW1 (My grandfather was gut shot and gassed at Belleau Wood, my dad was at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941 and went on to the USS New Orleans (He was on several ships) to fight at Coral Sea, Midway, Leyte Gulf, Savo Island. I did a couple of years too, from 1969 to 1973. God bless your family and thanks for their service.

I grew up in the 60's and my experience was, no doubt similar to yours.

Today's adults, grew up with teachers spewing a steady stream of agitprop in classrooms all over America and we see now, the result. Our critic at 12:24 has no context, no erudition and no basis other than rote talking points from his Anarcho-Tryanny-AntiFa heroes to refer to. It's not that we expect this moron to figure out that pesky cold fusion problem, it is that he and millions of other myopic, blinkered, retards have matriculated into society completely disarmed and unable to think critically. Emotion and identity are their only resources and the denial of that ego identification is intellectually beyond them and in fact, would mentally cripple them even more. Their association with the forces of chaos and an "ends justify the means" battle plan (Throwing out the baby with the bathwater) not only lacks prescience and is patently counterproductive, it will, of course, as you and I know, destroy them in the end.

The cover fire for this terror, is the 4th estate. The absolute Radix Malorum. You and I are silenced (Not here at TKC.).

The media, the bureaucratic/Fascist State, the Entertainment Industry and the Democrat Party have the megaphone.

It is a dagger, but we would do well to face the truth - "Something wicked, this way comes.

    Godspeed, God Bless.

  33. This - from Conrad Black on education and the media -

    Public Education
The palsied state of the media is largely a phenomenon of the collapsed state of public education. It is one of the great and haunting ironies of our entire Western civilization that the more money we consecrate as societies to education and especially higher education, the less educated the graduates we produce, and the less capable they are of pursuing economically self-sustaining careers on the basis of what they purport to have studied.

Teachers’ unions have reduced many schools to the level of mere daycare centers, and lazy, underworked and tendentious university faculties have imparted what is technically described as white oikophobia: national self-hate, to American students. Universities have largely become unemployment-deferral centers where scandalous amounts of resources are squandered on obscure subjects. The Canadian public intellectual Jordan Peterson makes the point that nothing described as “studies” is in fact an authentic academic subject.

If we start from the premise that in terms of the quality of its information the traditional media is a disgrace, we soon will get to the worrisome fact that the only way to deal with that is to have a more informed and demanding public. Since the media are the problem they are not going to generate that progress in the taste of their readers and viewers and listeners, so a more informed public can only be the result of educational endeavors.

Only when schools actually teach students to do necessary things, to develop some intellectual curiosity, and some aptitude to study and concentrate, and universities are obliged by those who fund them to observe reasonable standards of objective truth in teaching humanities, and to avoid squandering excessive quantities of their resources on subjects of no possible relevance to any but a handful of the curious and the eccentric, will the population slowly develop the intelligence necessary to demand better service from news and entertainment providers. And only then will advertisers require more product-integrity also.

As it is we have major sports leagues prostrated in self-abasement before the totalitarian regime of China while domestically, vastly overpaid players for vastly overvalued franchises mock the national anthem and the flag and demand the abolition of the police and of prisons.

But whatever the outcome of the election it is a profound problem that will ultimately threaten the entire society: a more educated population is necessary to produce a more accurate media to increase the value the nation places on the democratic rights that it exercises. Whether the president wins or loses in November, the country will not be able to go on blaming everything on him much longer."

Translation - "Geezer Haters" are uneducated, hopelessly stupid, bricks for brains consumers of and voters for, Progressive policies that are patently insane.

  38. With kids in elementary school and student loans, I'm nowhere near a geezer, but I can relate to this country falling apart. While the Democrats do anything they can to turn this country into another Socialist experiment failure, they are ceding the rights of the citizens to foreign countries, immigrants, the professionally offended class, and those who choose not to participate in the job market. As a veteran, I saw the sacrifice Americans made to ensure people had the right to demonstrate peaceably, demonstrate their political preference, worship as they desired, etc., and some paid with their lives in unnecessary wars to continue the war economy. What I can't understand is how misled the youth and Democrats have become through the use of social media and mainstream news. Saw first hand the differences in news coverage from a global perspective. Most of America is being misled.
