The second recall effort against Kansas City Mayor Quinton Lucas is suffering a mainstream media blackout despite efforts to clamp down on loose talk and present a more mainstream call to action.
For those who haven't seen it . . . Check their website where they have been posting a ton of content in order to make their case:
Once again the arguments for recall are focused on the mayor's reaction to 2020 social justice "mostly peaceful" protest riots and the drastic COVID-19 crackdown.
A quick message from the group's leader offers some insight and notes an opportunity for critics of Mayor Q.
"We’re going to be at the polls on election day . . . Every day the mayor does some other ridiculous thing, he needs to go. Also we can’t get any of the local media to cover it. Not that I’m surprised but still . . . I guess because they can’t call us racist this time."
The organizer nails it . . . The group was tagged as racist by MSM and social media chatter in support of Prez Trump didn't play well in a largely Democratic Party city.
Again, this time around they're clamping down on their public posting and making sure they're more professional in their communication.
Even better, they have a signature count on their website which claims the have 1231 voters on board so far. In 11 days they'll need boost their efforts in order to cross the 13,713-signature threshold.
