Kansas City grassroots activists say they have learned from their mistakes and now they're ready to double down on their bid to remove Mayor Quinton Lucas from office.

They've hinted and we've suspected that they're getting professional help this time around whilst still attempting to hold on to their grassroots identity . . . But let's not forget that Kansas City progressive residents have long worried about the rising tide of red districts in the metro with only Jackson County serving as a reliably blue voter enclave.
Objectively, the real challenge for this group is to galvanize Northland support for the effort into excitement across the bridge. With the threat of civil unrest and growing frustration with ongoing coronavirus restrictions that are KILLING local biz . . . This might not be a tough sell. Look closely and realize that there's no shortage of outcry against city hall.
Part Deux petitioners seemingly hope to capitalize on local frustration with government and the only thing we know for sure is that the November 2020 vote is guaranteed to make a lot of people angry — Aggrieved voters tend to sign up for radical change.
Accordingly, there's a rally scheduled for the end of the week and we're talking to a few organizers behind the scenes who might hopefully have more insight and deets to share with our blog community as this second act is already underway.
