A cross-referenced community news source is causing a great deal of debate among insiders frustrated with the double dealing of Mayor Quinton Lucas behind the scenes.
To wit . . .
EARLIER TODAY A JERSEY OUTLET REPORTED THAT BRIAN PLATT WON THE CITY MANAGER'S JOB AND WAS MOVING TO KANSAS CITY!!!
The article has been taken down but there's no retraction or correction posted . . . And KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS found a leftover link that readers might want to save before they pull it.
The money line . . .
"Brian Platt, who currently serves as Jersey City’s Business Administrator, is headed to Kansas City, Missouri to assume the job of City Manager. On October 5th, Platt interviewed as one of four finalists for the job. According to sources, he has been offered and now accepted that position."
And all of this sparks questions from City Hall insider.
One KICK-ASS reader note:
"We haven't even voted yet."
That's correct. A council vote is required to confirm the selection.
Moreover, what's clear is that the entire process has been rigged.
We suspected that the dude was offered a job further down the trough to justify the final choice. However, an insider offers a peek into the hot mess of the sloppy process . . .
"Strange, how could he think he has the job when, by charter, we must vote before making an offer. Why would he randomly quit his job w/o another one??? Council can't break the charter to hire him. Why would it go this way if the votes were there to hire him."
And so the really surprising news for tonight . . .
THE REPORT CLAIMZ THE WHITE GUY HAS THE KCMO CITY MANAGER'S JOB!!!
It's an unlikely series of events but, then again, nothing about 2020 should surprise voters.
