TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CONTROVERSIAL KCPD OFFICER ARRESTED!!! TIPSTERS QUESTION HIS CONNECTION TO MAYOR QUINTON LUCAS!!!

An important note was sent our way today regarding a recent allegation against a Kansas City police officer who has a "complicated" history and an alleged connection to the top office at city hall.

Here's the word from KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS . . .

"Officer Timothy Griddine of the KCMO PD was arrested on 3 felony charges on 10/16/2020. He is the on the KC Mayor's KCMO PD security detail. He was also involved in a sexual harassment law suit brought on by a female KCMO PD officer in which she won hundreds of thousands of dollars."

The message sent resources so we could verify the claim . . . We invite readers to check our work at the Johnson County Sheriff's website.

Additionally in order to fact check, TKC has reached out to KCPD in order to confirm that Officer Tim Griddine is employed with KCPD and assigned to the Patrol Bureau/ Central Patrol Division.

As for the mayor's security detail . . . That's a bit harder to confirm but a lot of officers are moved in and out of this assignment. The other info checks out so we're giving the tipster the benefit of the doubt.

Now, more importantly, here's a look at the charge . . .

The online document only states that the charge is identity theft. Just a bit of research shows us the many instances in Kansas where the identity theft charge is applicable: The 1998 Kansas Legislature passed a criminal statute recognizing that persons who have their identities stolen are victims. Identity theft, KSA 21-4018, is a Level 7 Person Felony.

Just like the po-po we advise that these are just charges and everyone is INNOCENT until proven guilty.

In researching this story, the KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTER sent along more info for context.

Officer Griddine has been the subject of media scrutiny previously . . .

Here's an excellent report on the officer mentioned via one of the best reporters to ever work in Kansas City and a very nice lady that we now call a friend . . .

The Pitch: At Charlie Parker Square, one cop’s aggressive policing has some residents crying foul – and they’re calling in his past for backup

The story is worth a Sunday night read and confirms the harassment lawsuit allegations that confronted KCPD mentioned by the tipster.

Meanwhile, we share this info with our blog community as the conversation about police, the mayor's office and relations with the community becomes more intense as the election approaches.

Developing . . .

  1. There are good cops and only a few bad cops. As we see the good cops do, in fact, stand up when others are accused. If not, this guy would have never been arrested.

    1. The info is good but damn if this doesn't come at a bad time for both police & community. A little unanimity would be nice instead of more division.

  10. Griddine, she said, “talked about the difference between black pussy and white pussy”; “put his fingers over his mouth and moved his tongue back and forth”; “pressed his face against the window of the exercise room and opened his mouth and moved his tongue back and forth”; and “talked about the odor after a sexual encounter.”

  11. I didn’t hear anything about this controversial cop from our locally controlled mayor. So much for local control.

  12. Also, so much for working to have more cops "who look like the community they serve".
    What's the next BLM demand?

  13. “I may not get you later, but I’ll get you tomorrow,” Griddine goes on. “You won’t be able to live in peace ’cause I’m gonna get you. I’m a finisher.”

Sounds like a psycho to me.

  19. What identity did he supposedly steal? I have seen no facts on the case. Did it really happen?

  20. He stole a bicycle and helmet and rode downtown pretending to be Eric (pantries in a) Bunch. He then demanded $81 to update his tent condo at city hall.

  22. First of all it shows how desperate you are to report information from 1998 civil law suit in which I was a witness not a defendant. Secondly, you probably won't mention it here but I have provided the legal documents (personal property tax receipts, insurance forms, loan agreement ) proving I was the sole legal owner of the vehicle in question. It's sad that negative comments and information is forefront, instead of hope that these allegations aren't true or someone offering prayers for this officer who has served this community since the young age of 21 (my entire adult life). I've had children as young as 8 and 9 (in the same year) take their last breathe in my arms and then watched their mothers collapse inconsolable after getting the worse news of their lives. I spent 30 of my 32 years patrolling the neighborhoods and streets I grew up in in an attempt to appease black folks biases of wanting a black officer. Only to be treated horribly even though the person the police was called on was breaking the law. Those of you who continue these lies and false information actually prevented me from having the ability to go Rouge, as it became a common practice to citizens to make false complaints anytime I showed up. Let's not mention the harsh language from other people of color like "uncle tom" that was 10 times more frequent than the "N word". And the numerous times I was shot at while on patrol at Armour and Troost and 12th and Paseo weren't from stray bullets but the little gun carrying lawbreakers that I often crossed paths with. Fortunately for me my lengthy tenure has allowed me to mentor many in our community and on the job. It's important that you know that this is a civil dispute and I'm working to get back to work. I'm far from perfect and have made my share of mistakes over the years but everyone has a responsibility to their family, neighborhoods and community. To see violent crimes, specifically murders, robberies and assaults skyrocket and not being the primary conversation between communities, police and Churches is foolish. We have to remember that our greatest strides towards unity, equality and justice occurred during the 1950s and 1960s were lead by spiritual leaders. During this time in history the police were part of the problem, nor we are a vital and willing part of reducing these senseless killings.
