Democrat says financial woes won't affect her if elected Missouri lieutenant governor

JEFFERSON CITY - The Democratic candidate running to be Missouri's next lieutenant governor has been sued at least four times for unpaid credit card debt in the past four years and filed for bankruptcy in 2003. Court records show Alissia Canady owed at least $107,800 to creditors in 2003, including a mortgage, a student loan, utilities and nearly $2,000 in state income taxes.

  1. Well of course she doesn't pay her bills she's
entitled remember? Democrats love people like this just like they love to pay more taxes and not see any thing in return.

  2. No wonder she hadn’t tagged her car, probably couldn’t afford it. And I’m willing to bet a lot of the credit card debt was for Doordash deliveries from Cheesecake Factory.

  3. The mortgage and student loan debts are understandable. Lots of younger people have those. Non payment of utilities and taxes is not acceptable in a person who is running for office, although not all that rare.

  4. Obviously she is a highly qualified Democrat that can be a good steward of our taxes in her pursuit of "Justice & Peace" at the Missouri Development Finance Board.

"Three previous civil suits, dating to 2016, alleged she owed a total of more than $7,000 to different credit card companies. All three were dismissed."

Look, why not put her in charge of payments on the fiasco at 18th and Vine? The creditors might just say, "Fuck it" and leave KC tax payers alone.

The KCP&L District payment of 15 million a year?

Canady can just not answer the phone, blow off the notices and refer all debt collectors to the folks who have failed to garner a penny out of this deadbeat for the last 20 years.

Ya gotta go to your strength.

She is really good at NOT paying for shit, so put her in charge of debts here in KC that our Freedom Incorporated Leaders have saddled us with.

Does anybody reading this, think THEY could get any cash outta this turnip?

  5. CANADY SMACKDOWN

Also, remember that Canady formerly worked in the office of Jean Peters Baker as an Asst. Jackson County prosecutor.

Canady has a long history of unpaid bills and defaulted loans (more than what's discussed in this article).

She discovered years ago that many companies will not aggressively pursue delinquents, choosing to write off the debt and save their legal team for only the biggest cases. She's been scamming ever since.

The fact that Canady would even consider running for political office with her sordid history speaks to her outright contempt for a system based on integrity and truth.

  6. It doesn’t appear the her debt is causing her to miss any meals. I guess she is pushing 400 lbs. she is very FAT. I mean very FAT FAT FAT.

  7. Notice the other candidates paid their debts recently and she made no suggestion that she would.....no integrity

  11. Everybody has debt. Everybody falls on hard times. She said in the article that none of these issues resulted in a judgement, which is a refusal to pay. Gawd. Leave her alone.

    1. I'm sorry, no. Many people, particularly those deemed worthy of the public trust, might even be expected to have a greater sense of responsibility than the average out of control spender.

  12. That poor thing. Her face looks like a Mardi Gras parade float. She needs to work on her health and perhaps her finances, instead of running for office, in our opinion. Is this the "Don't you know who I am?!!" traffic violation person? If so she should have been kicked from office with that behavior and barred from holding any further positions in government, period.

  13. And yet we have a President with $400 MILLION IN DEBT but that’s okay?
