DISAPPOINTMENT!!! KANSAS CITY COVID-19 SPIKE CANCELS CROWD FOR COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA LIGHTING TRADITION!!!

Like it or not the numbers for the pandemic are growing worse in Kansas City and cold weather cold & flu season is bring more fear along with chills.

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY NOW COUNTS 165 DEAD FROM CORONAVIRUS AND RISING INFECTIONS & HOSPITALIZATIONS HAVE SPARKED MORE RESTRICTIONS!!!

Accordingly, and given that top Doc Fauci is basically cancelling Thanksgiving . . . Here's the latest local casualty . . .

KMBC: Country Club Plaza’s 91st lighting ceremony to continue as broadcast-only event on KMBC 9

Deets . . .

"To ensure that one of the region’s most beloved traditions continues in a safe environment, the Country Club Plaza will host the 91st Annual Evergy Plaza Lighting Ceremony as a broadcast-only event on KMBC 9.

"KMBC 9 is the partner for the hour-long production that will start at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving. While Plaza restaurants may be open on this day, shops will be closed.

"Socially distanced spectators are welcome, but large groups will not be permitted to gather."

To be fair, most people typically watched this event via TV anyhoo . . . And the crowds were always big but overrated . . . Mostly comprised of Mid-Missouri rubes.

Developing . . .

    4. The tents are over 6 feet apart. However, not everyone is wearing masks.

  5. So the numbers for kc haven’t changed hardly at all, remember those who have the Kung fu flu are only good for 10 days so we’re around 1500 active cases, they’re blurring the lines here by giving numbers for six counties, kck and kcmo. That’s a massively large area to confuse the masses with, keep’em scared is what’s going on, it’s all part of some master plan to fuck everything up in hopes that rapey joe wins and then the feds will give all these dimwit run cities billions of dollars to recover from the forced shutdowns and the riots.

It’s a risky gamble that could ruin hundreds of cities and millions of people’s lives but they don’t care because you know, orange man bad.

  6. Alot of people said Covid was kinda like a weaker flu. They went out and bought toilet paper in response. But now they are dead! At least 30% of covid deaths are people claiming it was "fake".

People - its a engineered virus from 6.5 miles away from China's biggest bio-chemical warfare lab. Think its fake?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Possible. Funded by Democrat Obama regimen.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I called it. The Plaza lighting will never happen again. I'll be surprised if they turn them on in 21. Plaza is dead. It will be come a black entertainment district. You watch. Thanks Q.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Whatever. The Plaza is finished.

    ReplyDelete
  10. So, it's OK to have thousands of protestors on the Plaza during the peak of the COVID outbreak but not have thousands of people enjoy the Plaza lighting ceremony? These people must be nuts. Our fearless leaders have already killed more people with suicides, not getting cancer screenings, and drug and alcohol overdoses. Add in severe depression and more poverty and domestic violence to all this and the sum total equals extreme bullsh*t.

    ReplyDelete
  11. It hard to control protestors. Much easier to cancel a gathering. That's the difference. Nobody's canceling Sturgis or unmasked Trump rallies, so it's hard to argue a double standard.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Why would anyone go. Get car jacked robbed or just plain killed. Stay away from all big gatherings till things calm down.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Awww damn! No crowd in the shithole!

You should be accustomed to being lonely Bandit, in your trailer park Trump dump.

Keep waiting for that welfare check, scumbag.

  15. I thought Quinton Lucas cancelled it. Is Covid a person now? Keep him in Kansas City.

  16. Sad day for Kansas City, all of our community is being torn apart by this virus and we're letting it happen. We should come together not be divided.

    1. It’s being torn apart by feckless local politicians. Creepy Joe will fix it though. He’ll raise taxes, defund the police department, and will leverage his job to enrich his family again.

  17. Agree with Darren, there is no way to keep people away. Why waste police resources on chasing people from this event.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yes, out of town drifters and losers can stay home this year and watch on TV. Kansans have nothing to do on Thanksgiving but be with their miserable, debt laden families. Enjoy foreclosure for the holidays. Lol

    ReplyDelete
  19. They're still lighting up the Plaza. So if you want to have a large get together at the Plaza it's going to have to be under the guise of a protest.

Make some signs and tee shirts protesting the cancellation of the the ceremony crowd or for some SJW protest dujour reason. Protest gives way for rights and exemptions not given to John Q. Citizen.

    LOL!

    Bandit wins this round!

    ReplyDelete
  21. So I'm guessing there won't be a million people at this event in 2020.

To bad, if another district in joco was smart, they would have their own event as an alternative.

Canceling thanksgiving is low Dr. Fauci!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Gee, lotsa land and Thanksgiving is happening here. Have fun Jackass County and Kansas Shitty! Damn glad I'm out of that shithole!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Then shut up about KC and enjoy yourself Bandit, sort of like how "enjoying yourself" sums up your love life there in the Trailer Park.

  28. Bandit, I have already lost my shit over the low IQ Dems on this blog. I am worried you might be getting to that point. I guess it depends on you stubbornness and amount of relaxents on hand.

  30. INMATES RUNNING THE ASYLUM

    FACTS:
    KANSAS CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 SURVIVAL RATE
    100% for kids ages 0-17
    99.7% for adults 18-64
    91.9% for adults 65+

The virus can be very serious (and deadly) for some people with compromised immune systems and other serious complications. Pneumonia can also be deadly, and according to the Centers for Disease Control, it has claimed the lives of 1,262 Kansans through October 2; that’s 65% more than the 766 COVID deaths in Kansas reported by CDC this year, yet the state isn’t taking any “new” or “emergency” action on pneumonia.

Now we know that many of the reported COVID cases may be false positives because the state lab and many private labs have cycle thresholds set so high that tests are detecting particles incapable of spreading the virus.

The New York Times in August reported that virologists say the COVID test cycle threshold – the number of times genetic material is amplified to find the virus – should be set at 35 or below to avoid false positives. Today, the Sentinel reported that Kansas has the cycle threshold set at 42.

Governor Laura Kelly and KDHE Secretary Dr. Lee Norman should be providing comprehensive information that puts COVID in context but instead, they’re fearmongering and manipulating data to scare Kansans into submission. They treat people like children who need to be told how to behave.

    Read excellent reporting here:

  31. I live near the plaza. Can't wait for the strip clubs to move in and take over.

    ReplyDelete
  32. "It hard to control protestors." -- That's a matter of opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Everyone can pack into a Walmart or Target with a mask, but forget it if you want to wear a mask outside with others and watch a Kansas City tradition. What a bunch of bullsh*t.

    ReplyDelete
  34. That's right, Bandit. And pretty soon, I'll be able to walk out of my apartment and hit up a strip club right near the Cheesecake Factory. Amiright? Save on gas money, and I won't be getting mugged in Independence. Now, the peelers will be fancy at first, and there may be an exorbitant cover, but before long, sheeeeeeit. No cover, cheap mixers, maybe a slot machine or two, and some sweet smelling booty. It's cheaper than marriage and infinitely more satisfying. I bet Stormy was hot in her prime. What a rump. I'd pay to see that.

  35. Sad to see this become of KC, it really is a great town. Too bad so much violence is ruining it.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's been coming for a long time. People were just too blind to see it.

    ReplyDelete

  37. But yet Quinton Lucas and can get together with George Soros and have riots on the streets? Wake up people this is all about control not the virus and this is BS are you going to sit back and take this from inferior commies like Lucas? Or are we going to get out and take our streets back? There is no reason not to have the lighting other than little black sambo out shooting at the crowd. I'm fed up with this and ready to fight back.
