With the big vote just days away and the pandemic growing worse, the only thing we know for certain is that "many sides" of the political spectrum don't have much faith in city hall right now.

New Kansas City manager fields concerns as $70 million budget gap looms

  1. Word has it Major Bondholders are going to require the City of Kansas City to cut its pension plans and lay off workers to meet its bond payments.

    Another Democrat Party disaster.

Pelosi is holding up American's stimulus checks to tack on a couple of $ Trillion to bail out failed Democrat Party controlled cities like Kansas City, Seattle, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco etc.

So Americans suffer for Pelosi to pay government bureaucrats more and to save their bloated pensions that non-government workers are funding via taxes.

  4. If Pelosi is able to tack on another $2 trillion to our national debt by bailing out Democrat Party controlled city governments like Kansas City, the funds will be wasted on bureaucrat salaries, bureaucrat bloated pensions, and stupid incentive payouts to entities like the Toronto Raptors to relocate to Kansas City.

Not one dime will be spent on street repair, water and sewer services, street lighting, law enforcement, health services, schools, etc.; the basic services taxpayer funds are supposed to provide to its citizens.

  6. Bingo 9:53 - that is the sole reason the Marxist Democrats want to obtain local control of the Police Department to raid the KCPD pension plan for payouts to cronie consultants, developers and line politician's pockets.

  7. Gasoline prices are currently $1.79 per gallon.

That's an extra $20 per week in your pocket book; an extra $1,000 in your pocket book annually in gas price savings to commute to work.

Vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and you will soon be paying $5.00 + per gallon for gas to fund Bernie Sanders and the Communists Green New Deal.

The first time in 50 years, the United States is energy independent. No more Middle East wars for oil.

However, Joe Biden and the Marxist Democrats want to eliminate our energy independence and make us beholden to the Arabs once again. Stupid.

Trump has brought back and will soon bring all American troops back home from the Middle East and Afghanistan. Who wants to go back to constant wars in the Middle East like we have experienced the last 50 years.

  8. Joe Biden has publicly said he will end President's Trump's tax cuts initiated in 2018.

Each American will pay $2,000 more in income and payroll taxes when Biden eliminates Trump's tax cuts.

$2,000 of your money will go to fund more government bureaucrats and pay-offs to those who don't work so they will vote for the Democrat Party in the future.

  9. Cut a few assistant city managers, fix the top heavy water department and aviation department. Big salary savings. Make everyone furlough, except maybe KCPD. KCFD blows through their overtime, so sure there are some savings there.

  12. Somehow it seems unlikely that the new city manager is going to find answers to the $70 million budget shortfall walking the streets Lucas and Hernandez.
    All entertainment, all the time.
And the Star is speculating that none other than Jason Pander may be in line for a cabinet job in a Biden administration.
I wonder who phoned in that idea!
And those "reporters" actually bought into it!
