Kansas City deal will wrap up its airport terminal financing

Kansas City heads into the market Wednesday to wrap up financing for its $1.5 billion replacement of the Kansas City International Airport terminals. The deal selling through the Kansas City Industrial Development Authority offers $478 million series of airport special obligation paper subject to the alternative minimum tax and $57 million of non-AMT airport special obligation bonds.

  28. If there were any competent administrators in KC government they would have put a hold on construction of the new terminal as soon as the lockdowns hit and airline traffic tanked. But there weren’t and you cannot expect any vision or foresight from a hack like the boy blunder so they continued to poor good money after bad into that fiscal hole. Now we are all sunk.
