Saliva-based COVID-19 testing could soon be option for Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) -- New saliva-based tests are an alternative to the coronavirus nasal swab. It's a test that could soon be option for the public in the Kansas City area. Governor Mike Parson will be at Truman Medical Center Thursday morning discussing the new testing.

  1. Yes! GEt tested. I read where some hospitals are doing a 75-cycle test, which would apparently detect COVID if you came within a country mile of someone who maybe saw someone at the Chiefs stadium who had COVID.
