Restorative justice is the new hotness and getting cons out of jail has earned a great deal of support from both sides of the aisle. Even Prez Trump has championed some reforms with encouragement from Kim Kardashian.
Accordingly, here's a glimpse at local election time efforts to offer a path out of the prison system rather than just relying on the revolving door . . .

Some Jackson County non-violent offenders to get second chance under new diversion program
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - About 60 non-violent offenders in Jackson County will have the chance to start fresh and avoid serving time in jail through a new diversion program called NewStart 2020. The efforts, which were led by Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker, will wipe out the felony arrest for chosen people if they complete the program.
If she were a man, she'd be the Mr. Rogers of county prosecutors. She probably thought Charles Manson should get a second chance.
ReplyDeleteManson was probably a lot smarter than Jean.
DeleteWhat about the murderers she won't charge?
ReplyDeleteShe’s been doing this shit since she became prosecutor in 2011, she just has a new name for her incompetence and she’s dumb enough to think people will believe it.
ReplyDeleteWe need to replace her and make a new large cheap jail in the caves. Make people serve 100% of their sentance.
ReplyDeleteHere’s a quick question for you, since the city tore down “the farm“ our only jail for the city, where are they spending that money now?
DeleteWhy hasn’t he been published in the media that we are one of the few major metropolitan cities in the country without any way to incarcerate our criminals. One of those that makes you say Hmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteThis women is crazy and you need to get her OUT. What kind of a monster lets these people out after they destroyed a city and hurt innocent business owners? If you don't get this sick scum out you are just as sick as she is.
Nothing new about diversion.
ReplyDeleteMost of the negroes are way past second chances. With Jean Petersucker Baker they just get a lifetime pass because she is so worthless.
ReplyDeleteBaker is weak on crime and weaker on punishing violent criminals.

ReplyDeleteThe renewable energy problem can be easily solved, just hook a generator up to the revolving door that is the current criminal justice system, and forget wind and solar.
Oh, the Morningstar Church is involved. Wonder how much Greasy Modest Miles is making from this gig?
