Kansas City Struggles To Confront Upcoming COVID-19 Winter Homeless Crisis

Circumstances for the homeless this winter are looking dire and there are fewer resources to confront the threat to public health & safety.

What's worse is that the impending danger isn't being taken seriously by leaders at city hall. Remember, this is the same crew who let the 2020 murder count spiral out of control and only provided PR initiatives to protect their own political reputations.

This note deserves attention and provides one more warning about a crisis in the making . . .

What Kansas City's Homeless Shelters are Up Against, and How We Can Help

Many people celebrate October - pumpkin patches and apple picking give way to a jolly holiday season, marking for many people "the best time of the year." But for people experiencing homelessness, October's chilly weather can blow in feelings of anxiety.

  1. How is it that homeless, homeless camps have not been completely decimated by Covid-19?

  2. Because of the vitamin D they all regularly get.

  3. It’s a miracle, covid only goes after certain groups like people that go to church and not people who riot remember

  4. Why don't they migrate South for cold weather?
They're "homeless", so there's nothing keeping them here.
Wouldn't One-way Bus Tickets to Florida, Mississippi or Alabama be the best way to help them?

The best way to clear-out a homeless camp is to hold a job fair there.

  6. Need some forethought and common supply chain procedures. City Union Mission should always have a 3 month supply on critical items. The money and storage space exist. They need an operations consult from a pro (volunteer) if they are running out. The window last spring when shit paper was truly unavailable was no more than 90 days - that is an easy planning factor to meet.

  7. The Mike Burke, Sly James hotel has 800 rooms available for the homeless; with double occupancy, that provides for 1,600 homeless.
They will be fed in the Kay Barnes ballroom.
Lucas and the clowncil will be delighted to pick up the tab at full rates.

  8. sLIE said we didn’t have any homeless and so far mayor lickass responds the same way.

If they were black that would be a different story huh?

  9. SURPRISE!

Right before the election, Democrats and their propaganda liberal media partners are lying about "the biggest COVID-19 spike ever" seen.

While CA, NY, NJ, etc., had their surge in late Spring, the Midwest is only now getting it because the virus was reluctant to visit flyover country. Don't you know that it takes an airborne virus 6 months to pack up it's things and walk from bicoastal cities to the Heartland? Yup, that's perfectly normal, so don't you dare try to think logically.

Reported COVID-19 "cases" don't mean SQUAT! Yet, the media continues blasting out that FAKE NEWS.

    Propaganda Operation

Use the media to tell the sheeple that the virus is surging and lurks everywhere. Instill FEAR. Politicize the virus.

Insist on mask mandates to reinforce the FEAR and amp HYSTERIA.

Don't tell KCMO residents they're more likely to die from homicide, pneumonia, or seasonal influenza, than from coronavirus.

Conduct widespread testing of asymptomatic people (which is pointless).

Encourage testing laboratories to set their thresholds artificially high to generate many false positive results. The labs make more money through repeat testing.

Use testing supplies which are not FDA-approved, are foreign made, and result in large numbers of false positive test results.

Rely upon the PCR test as the primary workhorse for diagnosis, despite it generating a high rate of inaccurate results with coronavirus.

Make the public believe that if they test positive, they are going to die. Do not report the CDC's own statistics indicating that virtually no young people die from coronavirus, and the most affected group (unhealthy seniors) have a survival rate of approx. 95% when contracting the virus.

    1. Oh I'm surprised, 12:14. Surprised by your baseless, unsubstantiated fearmongering. No grown adult outside the FNB (Fox News Bubble) would take what you claim seriously.

Insist on mask mandates to reinforce the FEAR and amp HYSTERIA.

Science has proven masks combat the spread. You've heard of science, right? Guess not.

The Midwest is only now getting it because the virus was reluctant to visit flyover country.

Silly. Couldn't it get a ride?

Don't tell KCMO residents they're more likely to die from homicide, pneumonia, or seasonal influenza, than from coronavirus.

      Lie.

Conduct widespread testing of asymptomatic people (which is pointless).

      Beneficial. Not pointless.

Use testing supplies which are not FDA-approved

      Wrong

Make the public believe that if they test positive, they are going to die.

      Nobody believes this.

So in short, do us all a favor and go volunteer without a mask in a COVID ward for a few days.

  10. Hobos used to hop freight trains headed south every winter. The current crop of "homeless" are too lazy even to do that.

  11. More tramps than hobos these days.
