One with life-threatening injuries after shooting on 8th Street

Kansas City police are investigating a shooting in the 2600 block of East 8th Street.Officers were called to the scene just after 6 p.m. Sunday.On arrival authorities located a man suffering from a gunshot wound.The victim was transported to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries.Police do not have any suspect information at this time.Anyone with information related to this shooting is urged to call the Tips Hotline at 816-474-8477.

  2. Given the fact that the homicide clearance rate is less than 50%, that TIPS hotline much be ringing off the hook!
    No cooperation with the cops trying to make neighborhoods safer, even when 25 grand is offered.
    Maybe a few hundred million more for 18th and Vine and some more street painting will do the trick.
    Just pitiful.
