Kansas City Nelson-Atkins Museum Of Art Slashes Jobs Amid COVID-19 Recession

The hyper-partisan debate over the economy is beset by hacks from "many sides" attempting to push their agenda and lousy candidates without much regard for plebs who will suffer from the most severe impact from worsening inflation as both Republicans & Democrats are in favor of solving every problem by printing more money. Meanwhile, the mounting job losses are very real and offer a better indication of local harsh times.

  2. ^^^ Sounds totally reasonable. Great defense of police, burn down a museum. I wonder how many people you would convince with that argument.

Buy a clue dipstick, not even the police like you.

  3. Lay this at Lucas’ feet. The museum is great but like many things in KC he is running it into the ground. Besides KC has let crime get out of control. I prefer not to go look at art and get shot on my way.

  4. Seems the liberals are losing the most in their desire to destroy our economy. Wait until they get Socialism. Breaking rock all day is a bitch.

  5. I am surprised the BLM folks didnt break in and burn the millions of dollars worth of art that has been donated by the white rich of KC.

  6. Good I'm glad to see the Nelson Atkins is hurting. I can't support a place that disrespects our police and honors a protest wall as art. Really cheapens the place and remember when the next riot happens and it will, don't rely on the police to protect that place. I hope the police does the Ferguson effect with that place.

  7. Sad for job losses. For snark, may I say at least they won’t be hiring a DJ any more .... never understood why they wanted to try to create a lowbrow drinking party atmosphere like what can be found in Westport, P&L etc

Nelson gallery could, charge an admission. Five bucks would be reasonable. Joe Public would pay it to salk off the street and see a poussin or a Caravaggio it’s worth it

Also why did they squander millions on the hall donations to purchase many ugly and stupid photographs | many of that acquisition seemed a misjudgment. By contrast I saw St. Louis museum a year or three ago acquired a Benjamin west non-insignificant and not small painting for $350k

Thanks for link. We are all lucky and unworthy D bags when it comes to being recipients of the Wm rockhill Nelson heritage into his art gallery for the public.

  8. It is not the Covid. It is the BLM riots and the Nelson's embrace of the violent thugs. I would not want to go until that commie caretaker that runs the place is sent packing.

  10. Just 1 small item in the Nelson is worth over 2 million bucks. Why dont they sell to another museum and keep the staff working.

  11. Fire the faggot that runs it. Should have let the cops park there, queer. If BLM burns it down I would laugh like hell.

  12. I hope they offered counseling to those 36 people. They are probably very sensitive and emotionally vulnerable people.

  13. I wasn’t aware of their stance on police and embrace of BLM. F em’ if that’s the case. Get woke, go broke.

  14. Not sure why this ultra-Libs feel like they could all act out this year and show themselves. Most of us have gone to the museum without a political chip on our shoulders but, obviously, the flake that runs it felt he could, like pro sports, give his customers the middle finger. Back at you Nelson Atkins.

  15. "Why dont they sell to another museum and keep the staff working." The point is, the staff is not working. There are few visitors, no new exhibitions, so the staff has nothing to do. Only government employees get paid for doing nothing.

  16. It is a museum, not a makework program. The collection is everything. The employees are temporary caretakers, not more important than even the smallest item there.

  17. don't think an "art" museum wants to do slashing of any kind?
