As Kansas City approaches a historic homicide milestone, the Mayor sticks with tried & true anti-violence initiatives that have been proven ineffective but also don't spark much controversy.
The touchy-feel-y tactic that incorporates families of homicide victims fends of the most strident critics but also, tragically is nothing more than a pity party that hopes to crackdown on 2nd Amendment gun rights but hasn't had much luck.
Mayor Q: "Honored to join Grandparents Against Gun Violence, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, and the entire Heartland Coalition for today's "Going Beyond Thoughts & Prayers" forum. Too many Kansas Citians die to gun violence and suicide by gun each year. Thanks to all those standing up to make a difference!"
