Similar to professional wrestling's WWW, there is nothing preventing the NFL from predetermining the winners in advance, scripting "good guys" and "bad guys", and rotating the championship among teams to maximize profits while keeping everyone engaged.
NFL revenue is from three primary sources: NFL Ventures (merchandising), NFL Enterprises (NFL Network and NFL Sunday Ticket, which the league controls), and the television contract. The league distributes such revenue equally among teams, regardless of performance. As of February 2019 each team receives $255 million annually from the league's television contract, up 150% from $99.9 million in 2010.
The Chiefs are owned by Dallas TX billionaire residents and receive millions in corporate welfare annually from KCMO, Jackson County, and the State of MO!!!
