COVID-19 KILLS HOPE FOR NEW KCI!!!

Voters were sold a great deal of hype in order to garner consent to tear down a perfectly good airport and build  New KCI. Now, in the midst of an ongoing pandemic, the entire industry seems at risk and undergoing a fundamental transition as the nation realizes that Internets teleconferencing is much more effective than gross face to face contact.

To wit . . .

CORONAVIRUS HAS KILLED HOPE FOR THE NEW AIRPORT AND THE AIRLINE INDUSTRY WON'T RECOVER FROM PANDEMIC SOON!!!

Here are a few sources that confirm the trend . . .

  2. Maybe that crybaby Shaw should move her personal protest to the airport! At least something will be going on up there! Hahahahaha!

  3. Who couldn't see this one coming? I know! The Boy Blunder!

  4. Kansas City ruined a perfectly fine airport. Is there any question why the City is on the verge of bankruptcy? Shouldn't be.

  5. You were warned before you bought the line of shit Kansas Shitty. Covid just brought the corruption and failures to the surface at an accelerated rate. It wasn't needed before the panicdemic and it certainly won't be needed after. Enjoy eating the tax increase on that and remember that they told you that you wouldn't pay a cent if you didn't use the airport. LOSERS AND SUCKERS!!!

Once again Kansas Shitty, I TOL' YA SO!!!
    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  6. This is a project that should have never been started. Idiot democrats who think they have business sense and they don't have sense enough to poor piss out of a boot before they put it on. Flipping MORONS

  7. The airport can wait

we have a serious problem in this city around hair discrimination

lets work on some legislature to address freedom of weave choice

  8. I fly (flew) all over the country for work. Kansas City's airport, even with off-site parking, either through KCI's parking or The Parking Spot, etc., was the easiest to get in and out of. And, for security, they could have made minor construction changes to have one or two points of entry rather than what they had, security at multiple gates. KC says the airlines demanded the update, but I somehow doubt that. The airlines didn't force KC to spend $5B on a new airport, KC did that.

  9. Tragic comedy. The Greeks couldn't have written a play with more hubris and stupidity.

Ruined a jewel of an airport to line their cronies' pockets.

Don't worry they will all get paid at our expense.

  10. Oh no, time to bail out the airlines again!

But thank fucking Christ I don't live in a country with that goddamned socialism!

  11. The old airport was a huge security risk. From the street curb to a boarding gate was about 50 feet. Anyone (or even 20 people) could have run in the door from the street and down onto a plane in less than 30 seconds. We are so lucky it didnt happen. And the old airport was a DUMP!

  12. The old airport was a dump because the city intentionally ran it into a state of disrepair so that they could get their shiny new airport that nobody needed.

  13. The old airport was a security risk? The new airport is a pandemic risk, a super spreader building.

  14. REMEMBER

When you're talking about airlines in KCMO, you're talking about Southwest Airlines as the primary player.

When you're talking about the airline agreement in which the carriers agree to pay for the new terminal with taxes and fees imposed upon their passengers, if Southwest backs out of the agreement or has financial difficulty going forward, who do you think is stuck with the bill? Or even worse, what if the terminal hasn't been completed and Southwest runs into problems? This is what some TKC readers warned about before the rigged vote.

2020 YTD, Southwest Airlines (LUV) stock is down -28%
Quarterly revenue growth, year over year, is down -83%
Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway was selling shares in April

  15. 8:19 Oh sure, we are so lucky that some completely ridiculous scenario you conjured in your imagination didn't happen. It is not luck. It is the real world and there is a reason nothing like that has ever happened anywhere in the U.S. It is stupid. The airport was not a dump. It was efficient. It was functional. It was more than good enough for the purpose it served.

  16. "If you don't use the airport you won't pay for the airport." Same line of shit as "If you like your healthcare plan you can keep your healthcare plan."

There's a sucker born every minute! Glad I no longer live there where I have to pick up the tab.. Good luck Kansas Shitty! You're gonna need a lot of duct tape and a shitload of screen doors to fix this fuckin' mess!

    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
P.S. I TOL' YA SO!!! Damn I never get tired of sayin' that!

  17. The airport was sure worried that Al Queda was scoping out all the airports across the USA for an easy target. In 2001, you had to open your trunk and have it inspected BEFORE entering the parking garage. 50 feet from curb to plane cockpit IS A HUGE RISK! If you think it isnt then your very naive and way too trusting of our enemies.

The stupid wood floor in the old airport looked like something from the 50's. It was an embarrassment.

  18. And taxpayers will be paying for years on the new one.

  19. WOW! The Democrat boondoggles in KC keep falling apart one by one. Where's that NBA team Lucas promised?

    ReplyDelete
  20. In retrospect, shutting everything down in Kansas City and destroying the economy to elect a Democrat president yet to be named might have been a strategic error.t that's pretty much the way everything is in KC. Blunder after blunder.

  21. Blame China. It's an engineered virus modified by CrispR. Covid us the perfect bio weapon.

  22. Funny how suicide bombings around the world stopped soon after Trump took office.

  23. Democrats weaponized the virus.

  24. @9:14 you need to get out more before shooting off tour mouth.
They replaced that "stupid wood floor twenty years ago, fool!
And you can't get from "car to plane in 50 feet", there is a substantial wall in the way.

Shame you haven't been able to afford the Bus Fare to KCI if you had been able to buy a ticket, you could have seen this in personf, and wouldn't have made such an ass of yourself!

  25. I hated the old airport. Glad it's gone. Hooray

  26. 12:37. Glad to know you agree to pay for the new one. How many billions ya got?

  27. QBall kills hope for new KCI.

  28. 9:14 The airport had a beautiful terrazzo floor and the measures you mentioned were imposed immediately after 9/11 and have not been enforced for years. The DHS does not even consider Islamic terrorism to be a threat to the U.S. anymore if you read its latest threat assessments so what are you going on about? Some twenty year old memory?
