TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! RECALL KANSAS CITY MAYOR QUINTON LUCAS STAYS LOSING!!!
Just a few moments ago in a rambling and cringe-y video, recall leader Brad claims that he didn't get the signatures required to recall the mayor.
"The reality is that we did not achieve the goal we wanted to achieve . . . Our effort to recall the mayor was a learning lesson . . ."
There's a lot of vague talk of a journalistic efforts and high praise for a Facebook group of 10K people . . .
Meanwhile, with respect to #TBT, look at private groups like Kansas City Memories ...Vintage Photos, Places and Things Remembered and notice they're way more humble and fun with MORE THAN DOUBLE the number of subscribers.
The Waldo group also has nearly as many subscribers with half as much hate speech.
A more telling metric . . . The group's fundraising efforts garnered only 70 donors and about $2500 bucks in two weeks.
To wit and allow us just a bit of snark . . .
THERE ARE KANSAS CITY CHURCH BAKE SALES WITH MORE VIABLE PUBLIC SUPPORT THAN SOCIAL MEDIA NUMBERS THE RECALL EFFORT CELEBRATES SO PROUDLY!!!
Still . . . Brad seyz he wants to start a SUPER-PAC but the public fundraising performance is pretty weak and the comments reveal some griping about volunteer participaiton.
To be fair, organizers also admit that the group is comprised of political neophytes despite claims of talking with high-ranking movers and shakers . . . TKC EXCLUSIVE: It's rare to witness someone so enthused by taking a call with GOP consultant Jeff Roe or our fave D.C./KC influencer Cathy . . . They're nice people and actually pretty affable but even politicos think crunching numbers and taking Zoom meetings is a bit of a chore.
Anyhoo . . .
With demands for transparency from politicos, group organizers aren't being forthright at all about their so-called "Plan B"which also hopes to recall the mayor. More importantly, there's no word about how many signatures they've gathered of if they'll turn them in at all . . .
Respectfully, petitioner Clay Chastain has always been far more straightforward with his more successful petition efforts and he has routinely talked extensively with anybody who wanted to know about his political aims . . . And a few who didn't.
Again, there are no deets about the signatures they've gathered so far . . . The deadline to turn in names isn't until tomorrow so maybe there's a last minute hope or effort underway.
For now, we can add this group to list of HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF JOURNALISTIC AND POLITICAL KANSAS CITY EFFORTS currently underway and seeking donations amid coronavirus election season 2020.
