TKC MUST SEE!!! SHOW-ME CONGRESSMAN CLEAVER & MISSOURI SENATOR BLUNT TALKING CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE & RACIAL JUSTICE IN KANSAS CITY!!!

A hopeful note for this afternoon: Kansas City serves as the starting point for open, peaceful and constructive dialogue betwixt two opposite sides of the political spectrum.

As the election quickly approaches, check this quick glimpse at the discourse going forward meeting with locals . . .

Cleaver and Blunt Host Conversation with Community Leaders in Kansas City

Kansas City, MO) – Today, United States Representative Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO) and United States Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO) hosted a conversation with community leaders in Kansas City, Missouri. During the conversation, participants discussed a variety of issues such as racial justice, COVID-19, and the economic impact the pandemic has had on Missouri communities.

“As Missourians grapple with the coronavirus and the nation faces a racial reckoning unlike anything seen in decades, it is imperative that we bring Americans together to find solutions that will help move our nation forward, and that all starts with open, honest communication,” said Congressman Cleaver. “I want to thank Senator Blunt and everyone who participated in today’s discussion for taking the time to talk candidly about some of the most pressing challenges facing Kansas City, Missouri, and the nation today. I look forward to further constructive conversations in the weeks and months ahead.

“I appreciated the opportunity to hear from everyone who participated in today’s discussion,” said Senator Blunt. “Having their advice and perspective is critically important as we work together to make sure families and communities have what they need to make it through this pandemic. I hope this will be an ongoing conversation about how we can respond to the unrest in the nation by looking at what needs to be done for every person in this country to feel secure – in terms of their safety, their economic situation, and the opportunities that will be there for them and their children.”

  1. Actually talking to people in real life is becoming a lost skill. Easier to rant via Twitter and lead through cable news programs. The media insulates elected officials from the public, that's even worse during the pandemic.

Not a Republican but I've gotta give Blunt credit for showing up in the community. More than Hawley would have done. The junior senator has only been to KC once with Trump.

  10. Roy Blunt is a RINO. When Cleaver talked about racial justice in KC did he talk about the rioters that went free after trashing the city? Did he talk about BLM the name itself being racist. Did he talk about how we are on the verge of an internal revolution? So there's a RINO who wants to fund illegals coming into the country illegally and there's car wash cleaver getting together and talking about racial justice and the virus response. What a waste of time.

  11. If Cleaver doesn’t have race to talk about, he has nothing. Why is it that all other races seem to be able to assimilate into society and blacks just can’t? I never hear Asians, Jews, Latinos, bitch and whine about how they’ve been persecuted like the blacks. Jewish people have been more persecuted than any group and they hunker down, work hard, appreciate what they have and get it done as do the other races of people. Come on black folks, get it together.

  13. Bandito, Cleaver called, he asked me to tell you he's sorry about those weekends with your Mother.
He did want me to say she told him she didn't have any kids, of course that's what she tells everyone at the bars every night.
