TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY RUNNING SHORT ON AMMO AS ELECTION NEARS!!!
Here's a not so fun fact that inspired TKC to buy an extra package of snack cakes at the store this afternoon so that there's no interruption in our sugary sweetness . . .
Breitbart: Nationwide Ammo Shortage as Americans Stock up amid Civil Unrest
Whilst our progressive friends may not trust this source, check Google for a ton of links confirming local shops across the nation biting the bullet when it comes to firearms and supplies. Topeka news confirms a shortage on guns & ammo. And a swing state gun shortage isn't very encouraging.
Accordingly, a denizen from our blog community shares this insider word . . .
TKC Reader: Another Sign This Election Will Be Close
While being very aware of the difference between correlation and causation, there’s an interesting trend going on. I ignore polls, and prefer to look at hard-cash movements revolving around consumer demand. Those involve real numbers and zero spin.
In this case . . . look at what’s going on with sales of guns and ammunition. And, how it potentially ties in with the narrative coming out of Republican campaigns.
The national press seems to downplay the impact of what appears to be the platform Trump (and others) will push until the election – civil unrest, rioting, law and order, etc. This is not surprising, seeing as how 95% of journalists are either full-throated liberals or lean left (heck, even Chris Wallace is a registered Democrat). They’re not going to promote a tactic that might be proving beneficial to the right.
But, if “law and order” isn’t something of a helpful message for the sitting Prez, then maybe the press should try and explain why virtually every store in the country (both retail and online) is undergoing the biggest ammo shortage the country has ever seen. It affects almost all calibers. Even the types of shotgun shells commonly used for self-defense - slugs and triple-ought buckshot - are nowhere to be found (you can buy bird shot . . . but that’s not anyone's choice for self defense).
Manufacturers say they are running at full capacity and beyond. And, because some ijit will undoubtedly make the claim, this isn’t a case of conspiracy theory. The government is not buying all the bullets. Manufacturers report it’s ALL retail and consumer demand.
There’s also a pretty huge shortage on guns. You can still buy a gun, but many of the popular self-defense weapons are back-ordered into infinity. Retail sales indicate the largest increase in gun purchases since reporting began . . . with most of the sales since March being first-time buyers. I suspect some are from liberals (who would never admit to owning a gun) but historically such purchases would be from moderates (aka: suburbanites) who are now terrified of the “peaceful protests."
In the two or three months since Trump has adopted the law and order message, Biden’s once huge lead has shrunk to numbers within the margin of error. While I’m not saying that gun and ammo sales point to a Trump win, I am saying he’s now got a message that resonates loudly, and one which the Democrats cannot poach due to their prior and very vocal support for protests.
I think this race is much closer than the polls and pundits on the national scene are leading us to believe . . .
