TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY BLACK LIVES MATTER STREET MURALS BLOCKED OFF AND UNDER SURVEILLANCE!!!

Today hundreds of volunteers helped artists paint murals dedicated to the the Black Lives Matter movement on the streets of Kansas City.

Local news has focused on the positive and community building aspects of this artsy endeavor. Meanwhile, TKC has warned readers that those who have defaced BLM murals in other cities now confront hate crime charges.

Here's another important tidbit that deserves consideration . . .

KANSAS CITY STREETS FEATURING BLM MURALS WILL BE BLOCKED OFF UNTIL MONDAY!!! MOREOVER, THERE'S SURVEILLANCE PROTECTING THIS CONTROVERSIAL PUBLIC ART PROJECT!!!

Sadly, we know that there's no amount of protection that can totally secure a Kansas City landmark from people with bad intentions.

However, the goal of TKC to offer useful public information so that readers can be knowledgeable about the reality of life on local streets.

Lesser local media has already confirmed some of our TKC FIRST news reporting:

"The roads around (the murals) will be closed until Monday morning, so the best time to view the murals — before cars can drive on them — may be Sunday afternoon. But the murals will be around for quite awhile: Sunday morning, after doing the finishing touches, crews are set to apply a strong sealant on all the artworks."

Again, more interestingly . . .

In much the same way that widely available and surprisingly advanced spy tech is used to grab images of suspects dumping garbage on public streets . . . A great many cameras will be focused on these murals in order to gauge all manner of public reaction.

Real talk: Don't say that you weren't warned.

Also . . .

The reality is that quite a few Kansas City residents believe the BLM murals are a target for vandals with opposing political viewpoints and widespread opposition has already vowed to attack the project openly via social media.

And, as always, TKC hopes that this artsy endeavor inspires a CREATIVE exchange of ideas rather than any potential destruction or divisive action.

You decide . . .

  1. Streets blocked, special sealant and surveillance.

Damn, it looks like Kansas City is protecting these murals more than it protects the residents!

  8. It’s already been beat in court if you spill paint on the “murals” and call it art, the court will drop it.

Lucas and Petersucker are trying to intimidate people with their divisive rhetoric, this doesn’t help kc at all in the big picture. Kc has never been a racist city and these asshats are trying to make it one, damn good thing nobody listens to these two clowns anyway.

On to the blue lives matter paintings!

When the blue lives matter murals hit the streets what will bald man bad do?

  9. So who's paying for the surveillance? This is an act of lunacy, on top of hate and division. Good luck black people you are going to suffer hated and that's not fair to the ones who don't support this terrorist movement.

    ReplyDelete
  10. We will tear down statues of men who were instrumental in the birth of this nation and yet protect murals dedicated to a Marxist organization that really does not have black lives as its central theme so much as it does to promote the Marxist left-wing narritave.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I am sick of BLM and the racist, Marxist principles they stand for. McNeely is another race baiting black, pandering for votes, and that’s what we end up with. There are so many productive things that could have been done with this money. It’s a shame to see it wasted to placate a group of murderous thugs.

    ReplyDelete
  12. How much taxpayer dollars is it costing us for all this secret surveillance? How stupid does Lucas think we are?

  13. i cry for our nation this communist org is sepported by the majority of our people our nation is gone the white people who oppose them like me our in danger of being wiped out or our property and money seized by the marxist bastards if trump loses the election we our finished

  14. The city's BLM artists and their allies are a bunch of wannabes. What a pathetic bunch of activists. They are not able to actually do anything except put paint on taxpayer-funded roads. Big deal. That's all they got out of the city council. The chief of police is in power (as he should be) and the murder rate is still over-the-top. But hell art heals a city. What a bunch of crap.

We need to track how many deaths, robberies, etc. everywhere this so-called "high art" exists. The taxpayer is on the hook for the city employees who put up the barriers. The cost of security is up in the air. I suggest that some civic-minded people should make a request for records under the Missouri Sunshine Law to see how this actually went down and what the anticipated cost would be for the taxpayer.

I will never visit 63rd and Brookside again to shop or eat. Nor will I visit the Briarcliff village restaurants every again.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Home Depot and Lowes are sold out of 5 gallon containers of paint in all colors. Could be people are looking to add their "little" touches to the "artwork."

5:30 for the win and very well said as I will be doing the same. I will start going to the KS side of the state line to spend all my money.

The more of us who do such when send a huge message to the city when they see sales tax numbers plummet. My house is on the market, I'm so done with this town. Looking for work on the KS side the wife and I both as we want to get out of paying E-tax ASAP.

When a Mayor sides with criminals and allows criminals to paint up the streets it's a town that's totally out of control and ran by idiots.

  21. THE WRATH OF THE AWAKENED SAXON
    by Rudyard Kipling

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

    They were not easily moved,
They were icy -- willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
    No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

    It was not suddently bred.
    It will not swiftly abate.
    Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.

  27. This is not art, it's crap, and I'm hoping a good hard winter will crack it all beyond recognition. Having said that, the areas for this nonsense were assigned, if you will, and with maybe a couple of exceptions, the businesses and/or residents were not considered or consulted. Can you imagine a bunch of people you don't know showing up with paint and defacing YOUR neighborhood? All without your consent or knowledge? Don't think it can't happen where you live or do business...Because it just DID. But don't punish the businesses you would normally patronize by staying away, they're gonna take a big enough hit as it is.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The murals are stupid.

Race relations have been set back 50 years by the Communist Democrat Party and media.

Democrat Party is the founder of Jim Crow, Ku Klux Klan and the Confederacy. Democrats have a 200 year history of formenting racism and thus are experts.

Decent black people will be hurt by the Democrat Party formenting riots and racism as crime will run unchecked in their neighborhoods, whites won't hire them, whites won't frequent their businesses, and whites will quit donating to charities.

Why should whites even try to help as their efforts will be returned with hate and accusations of racism.

  36. Founded in 1865, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) extended into almost every southern state by 1870 and became a vehicle for white southern resistance to the Republican Party’s Reconstruction-era policies aimed at establishing political and economic equality for Black Americans. Its members waged an underground campaign of intimidation and violence directed at white and Black Republican leaders.

This is placating those with the minds of children.
It would be humorous if it wasn't such a farce.

Politicians and the media let this happen when they didn't call out the irrational behaviors and false narratives promoted by BLM. Black leaders failed to lead their flocks with clear analytical thinking. The audacity to defend and deify the worst of the worst is insanity.

    BLACK-LIVES-MANIPULATED

    ReplyDelete
  40. Instead of "Black Lives Matter," the murals should be painted to say "Don't Resist Arrest" and "Obey Police Orders." If that advice was heeded, those words of wisdom would save more lives in the future than any other sh*t they can write on the streets. But it still doesn't help the more than 7,000 black-on-black murders that far outnumber any offenses by the police.

Indeed. The only sealant that would be long-lasting is an oil-based sealant. Which takes hours to dry (cure in 30-days). The humidity tonight and tomorrow will not help it. The good news is that when there is heavy rain people will be sliding into each other. Lawsuits abound. Asphalt is slippery by nature. Now with an oil-based topcoat, it will be even more dangerous.

I can't wait for the lawsuits because of the untenable road surfaces.

When do the Nuggets actually see a shiny gold victim vs the constant martyr of evil criminals, following More evil career criminals like Rev sharpton, Jess Jackson, gay hating MLK and now antifa and the LGBt / actually only promoting the Rainbow Way. You all ever think of backing actual innocent and law abiding victims ? Or just career criminals that if they were white, people would not notice , care and most likely applaud their demise. Fuck criminals and anyone that supports them. Try supporting the victims of black killers instead. God knows you have plenty of them. Our metro have 150 plus right now?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Being snarky and unkind doesn't solve the problem. What will solve it is when blacks realize all lives matter. It is unfortunate that the George Floyd Incident has turned our entire country upside down, and elicited angry comments that won't help anything. What will help is when black males quit driving around town shooting and killing other blacks. What will help is when black young men quit fathering children they have no intention of supporting. What will help is when inner city grandmas who've worked hard and raised their children, can enjoy their senior years and not have to raise their grandchildren. What will help is when young black men put away their guns and take responsibility. What will help is when white people are no longer afraid to drive across town any time of night or day, to jobs or elsewhere and not be afraid of being shot.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I will no longer go to the Plaza and stroll, shop, or dine; and I will no longer drive down the City Streets to enjoy downtown, Crown Center and the Plaza. Why? Because City Leaders who were supposed to lead, let the protesters intimidate them into removing J. C. Nichols name from the fountain. He's been gone 70 years, so he had no chance to join in the conversation. The beautiful fountain will always be the J.C. Nichols Fountain. City Leaders let protester intimidate them into allowing our beautiful streets to be reduced to throwing a social position in the faces of those who care about attracting tourists to our city. And now that the protesters have intimated City Leaders, they will be back for more. How sad.
