T-Mobile to lay off 74 Overland Park employees

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - T-Mobile is expected to lay off 74 employees in Overland Park. A Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice was posted Monday on the Kansas Works website. The company already had let go of more than 200 workers in June following a merger with Sprint.

  5. Most companies that take over another company wait about one year after the deal finalizes before they make drastic cuts at the acquired company (Sprint). Former Sprint employers should be more nervous in the first half of 2021 about being let go.
