Missouri Defends Abortion Restriction as Way to Save Children With Down Syndrome

ST. LOUIS - The Missouri State Solicitor General told an Eighth Circuit panel Thursday that the state's tightened abortions protect fetuses diagnosed with Down syndrome from discrimination. "A radical reduction in the number of the class of people with Down syndrome would inflict an incalculable loss in our society," John Sauer told the three-judge panel while making the state's argument.

  2. I have a 30 year old Downs Syndrome boy. He can use the computer, shop on Amazon easily, look up any news item, use YOUTUBE, cook, clean, dress himself, speak well, do math problems, write, remember each holiday and birthday of his friends. The only thing he doesnt do is drive a car. He may never earn as much as your children, but he can do everything else. And some of your children will end up on drugs, smoke, drink or steal - which he will never do. he wont go to jail, cheat on taxes, beat anyone up, or slander. Who has the better child? Me or you?
