  1. In a perfect world the shooter would have already be on trial by now and well on his way to the gallows.

      Sad but true.

What's also true is that there is no such thing as "restorative justice" for the murder of a little one.

    2. I was happy that they found LeGend's killer. This one seems like it should be easier because it was in broad daylight.

  3. When you constantly have "leaders" in the black community accusing the police of being an "occupying force" and DISCOURAGING residents from cooperating and sharing information, it's hypocritical for many of the same folks to make a big public show after a horrendous tragedy like this.
Where are all the BLM protestors and their white suburban allies?
Where are the revs who spend all their time on renaming streets and fountains?
How about a speech from Lucas both condemning destructive behavior like this and "demanding" cooperation from "the community"?
KCMO has been through these senseless murders over and over again and even $25K rewards don't do much of anything.
    Sad.

  4. 6:58 If only Petersucker wasn’t the prosecutor, she’ll leave him in county lockup for two years if she doesn’t waive his bail that is, and then she’ll fight hard for one years probation and laugh in the face of the victims family. It’s what she does, she’s a pathetic worthless excuse for a human being.

  5. Petersucker is a pathetic worthless excuse for a human being and she is worse than that as a prosecutor.

  7. The Didn't See Nothings are afraid they will get murdered if they do speak up.

That is why there needs to be a heavy police presence in these neighborhoods to prevent crime.

However, the Marxist Democrats and Media howl if a police officer touches a criminal so until that changes the same old same old.

  8. Maybe social workers will do instead.

  9. Black people talk a good game but their actions never match their words. This shooting happened near East Patrol at 26th Prospect, Adhoc Group Against Crime at 31st Montgall and several churches in between. Do you honestly think going door to door and having Clery partner with police is going to change the dynamic after decades of the same failed actions? Give me a break! Yes, somebody knows all the details, participated with the shooter. This is the state of Black America.

Having a black this title or that in positions of leadership hasn’t done a bit of good. Role models are everywhere. This is about will and wanting.... Young, Black males want for nothing that requires commitment and hard work.

  12. It isn't that difficult. Does anyone really think that the dead kids parents, who were in the car too, really don't know who shot at them and why? And that their friends and "associates" don't also know. They want their own revenge on the murderers, so the cycle will continue. They will shoot up the perp with no regard to surroundings and add to the murder list for KC. How do you break this mentality?

    ReplyDelete
  13. It would be interesting to see the degrees of separation among all of these murders. Is this gang related? Is this an insulated clust-f*(& of criminals who kill each other? That's the only explanation for how there isn't an outcry from the community seeking vigilante justice to go to the homes of these cowards, take them from their family rooms, and march them down the street to the police station.

  14. Clearly we haven’t torn down the right Confederate statue or painted a slogan on the correct street. We must find out what is responsible for this bad juju.

  15. Just remember BLM

    How about another mural?

    ReplyDelete
  16. How do you consider a 22 month old to be 1 year old?

Why doesn't the BLM come forward? Oh I forgot they want to defund police don't they. Funny how they hate the police and then when something like this happens they want to put out rewards and want people to tip the police. Where's the community social workers they were so supportive of when they wanted to do away with police? Poor little kid had to be a victim of these radicals including Quinton Lucas and the rest of the terrorist gangs. Leave the people alone and take it to Quinton Lucas or the radicals in city hall. The NFL might be able to help with it too isn't this what they take a knee for? The hatred of police? That's where it it all started and then went from that to racial injustice and a whole slew of other ridicules things.

  17. Ritual Silence for a ritual murder

    ReplyDelete
  18. The real danger to blacks is other blacks who kill women, children, babies and men and boys by large numbers. Where are the blacks marching with pitch forks and torches through these neighborhoods telling the community we will not tolerate this?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Mommy and Daddy know who did it. BLM has a code of silence unless whitey do it while they resist arrest.

    ReplyDelete
  20. You cannot tell me that the adults in this car have no idea who the shooter is. People just don't drive down the street and randomly pick out a car or house and begin firing an automatic weapon at it. Didn't Legend's family have some connection to the person arrested. You can bet your ass it's the same with this shooting.

  21. 8:31 nailed it. I think we need more camera and cop-protected street murals. That will keep children from being shot in the streets. Seriously, for as big of a deal the mayor made of the street murals, doesn't that seem pathetic in comparison to a child's shooting death? And, will the people who supported those murals, who may have thought that art/activism was important, now realize how inane and futile such virtue signaling is? Do you think they will now understand why many criticized the effort, not for the sentiment, but for the colossal waste of time and false belief that a "Black Lives Matter" mural would do anything for the community except divide it? Did the street murals do anything other than make some black people feel good? What's next? Some helium balloon releases for this child? Some evening candle burnings? How about some neighborhood ransacking and looting? Yell at white people time? Stop painting murals. Stop marching with fat revruns. Mayor Lucas should seek out large, successfully-run cities and seek out their advice. Quit kneeling with the mob that is largely responsible for the violence, looting, strife, and poverty, and get them to help themselves without them trying to get others to pay them to be quiet and happy.

  24. 8:35 spot on - ritual silence. There is a culture of not helping police. Remember "snitches get stitches" t-shirts all of the place a couple of years ago? Everyone in the car knows who the shooter was, why they shot, and where to find them. Sad predicament this community finds itself in. I'm not sure what the tipping point is before things change. Asking for another 60 year plan of government funded projects won't work - history has told us that. There needs to be a tipping point for the broader community to intervene. You know, the type of intervention where these thugs are targeted, ostracized, and shamed to the point of being driven into the shadows.

  25. you say there's silence on a child being killed, then list four different sources describing the situation.

    you're crazy.

    or stupid.

    perhaps both.

  26. Let me "profile" the shooter: convicted felon, prohibitied from gun ownership, has shot someone before and wounded them, has spent over 5 years in jail, recently got out of jail, has no job, had no father, has a temper, uses drugs, uses booze, has kids with a women he is not married to, stole the gun he used in the crime, is driving a stolen car, lives in a drug house. is under 40 years old. Went to KCMO schools as a kid.

  29. There are no protests for the victims because blm and antifa aren’t getting paid by George soros to burn the city down, it’s really that simple.

Every protest and protester has been getting paid to be there. It’s obvious don’t you think. Why else isn’t the black community up in arms over all these baby killings and black on black murders?

  30. They cant blame Trump and they don’t want to admit what race is really responsible for all the violence and murder in this country.

  31. Black Lives Matter is an organization of white men, using the faces of dead black people, to raise millions of dollars toward electing white Democrats into positions of power.

It is the most flagrantly racist organization in America.

  37. I know Black Lives Matter, but someone should tell some in the black community. Yes... police reforms are needed, but black folks must also value each other. Only the black community has the power to stop black folks from killing each other, especially their children.
